I love Halloween and if you read my after surgery story I guess it is my happy place! hehe Jacob has 2 costumes this year. Gene Simmons and a really scary scarecrow. I want him to dress up as Gene! He of course wants to do the other one LOL! If I feel good enough I am going dressed as Kat Von D:)

Keri....i think you can actually get away as Kat, of course, you need to be inked just a lil(lol). Thats an awesome costome. My 2 boys are going to be flip flops and my step daughter is going as a sand bucket. As for me...i'm going to dress up as a witch. I made all the costumes myself.

It looks like I have a quiet night in on my ownsome...bah. I love Halloween. One year I am going to spend it in the States - we do it good here now but you guys do it bigger and better! When I was a kid you didn't get pumpkins in the shops - I used to hollow out a turnip and I can tell ya - it was hard hard work!!!

Gene Simmons sounds like such a fun costume for Jacob! Great ideas, everyone! Yeah, we can really do it up in the states. In my town, we had riots 3 years in a row on Halloween! They've now made some changes to the downtown celebration, but I've never gone. I'm off to a friend's costume party as a stud finder. Home-made costume if you can't tell! The lights really light up! Jenaya, I hear you - maybe make a costume? Takes no money or skill, just a sense of irony... For giggles, one year I made myself a sort of tube out of a bright purple remnant, wriggled in and stuck a biohazard sticker on my front and back, and went as an anthrax bacillus. Scariest thing in the news that year. Mwa ha ha.
Bunch of the guys I work with hail from Saudi. They get the most peculiar stuffed looks on their faces around Halloween - like maybe this is all really devil worship or something, but they're too polite to say. Hard to explain to them that this is really our version of Carneval... ('ah yes, and what's that one?' Oy gevalt.)

Hey, I watched The Office last night and Jim wrote the word 'book' on his face. That was his costume. He went as Facebook! (ba-dum-bum) Cheap, fast, and easy-peasy!

karen your the awesomest! ^_~ Ha - the funny thing? I wore this 2 years ago and went out with a group of people that night, and one of the guys we were with shortly turned into my (now ex) boyfriend. I'd say the costume is a bit defective, though, as he turned out NOT to be an actual stud. Have to make a few modifications to it this year!

LOL Karen...that's cheesey. Altough one year i actually went out as a tube of toothpaste So did I! Actually, my sister did one year, then I just borrowed her costume. In my defense, though, I was in like 5th grade... And btw, I'm the QUEEN of cheesey!

I did it a couple years ago while i was doing some marketing for a dental clinic. They had a halloween party at the office. Everyone was dressed up as toothbrushes and boxes of floss.
As for you being the queen of cheesey...seeing your stud finder costume i'd have to agree. But hey, cheesey is awsome
