Wow I smirked at what he said to his teacher, but I think you're strong for persisting when he's so strong-willed. I know when I'm in pain I can't even talk to adults who respect space, never mind a teen boy who knows when and how to act up. Wish his dad would show some solidarity though

His dad is an a**hole and i truly think the only reason he even sees his son is because he pays support. Everytime i tell his dad what he has done, he says "DOH". Since when did Homer Simpson ever prove to be a good dad?

I know your boy will grow up and one day realise who he could really count on, and that's not the dad who never gave him boundaries. Having someone who won't back you up somehow makes it twice as hard as doing it on your own!

Brad is my backbone when it comes to AJ. He is amazing and i commend him for that because he is only 31 and to step in and be a father figure to a 14yr isnt easy.
Today i am taking AJ back to school. Here's hoping he can last the week without any trouble because come friday, he is out of school for 2 weeks of christmas holidays. He goes to his dads for the first week so i hate to say it but i finally get a weeks break from being a mom. Thank god

No it's understandable, just need a break from him pushing your buttons, at least you care! Brad's being a father figure to him is commendable but you've done the same and it's pretty great of you both to integrate your families and love each other's children.

OMG ok I revived this thread because I am soo soo soo tired of the teenagers I go to school with! Yesterday I got on the subject of birth control with a 19 year old classmate. I mentioned that I've been having a hard time managing my weight ever since I started on birth control and she looks at me and says, "THERE'S OTHER WAYS OF PROTECTING YOURSELF!!!!!!!"
um, ok, first of all, I'm 27 mother f*cking years old. If I don't know how to use a f*cking condom by now...........
WTF really!??! REALLY!?!? DId she really feel the need to tell a 27 year old married woman how to protect herself?? Are you kidding me?
Then I had to go into how taking it is not a choice, I have endometriosis, blah blah blah, then I finally just gave up. It's apparent to me now that I just can't be friends with people who are so much younger than me especially when the age difference is between late twenties and late teens. It's just impossible.

LOL Jenaya....first u go buy a box of condoms...then unwrap it.....make sure he is upright...blah blah blah......lmao
Seriously though, a 19yr old should not be telling a late 20's woman how to use a condom.
However, should you need instructions, I just showed my 15yr old how to put one on a banana....lol

SERIOUSLY!!! Thanks for the after school special you stupid little girl. I don't know why that pissed me off so much. I was in a particularly bad mood. I'm so sick of that "I know everything" mentality that these kids have. I'm a lot older and I don't claim to know everything nor will I ever. UGHHH!!! They drive me crazy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My new 'junior' is 10 yrs younger than me and is full of that early twenties 'I know it all' mentality. Ha. I'll soon beat that out of her!! Ah she's lovely, getting a bit more used to her.
