So my period is late.... I feel like crap because my hormones are crazy, I'm as huge as a whale, and today I felt like I wanted to vomit.... SOOOO naturally I start getting paranoid about being pregnant!
I just happen to have a pregnancy test laying around so I told my husband I better just do it to get the worry out of my mind. I go in the bathroom, pee on the stick and HOLY SH*T there's TWO LINES!!! I FREAKED THE HELL OUT, I got hysterical and came out of the bathroom a complete mess. My husband comes to hug me while I irrationally think of all the things I have to change about my life, "AHH no more school, we live far from family, I'm gonna get fat, can't do this can't do that blah blah blah...." LOL
Then I was like, I NEED to call my mom. So I call her and tell her she's going to be a grandma! She gets sooo happy and starts to cry, she screams for my older brother so she can tell him. Everyone is happy, laughing... I'm feeling mixed feelings. It was an emotional rollercoaster.
Then I have a moment of clarity and I think, "wait, do I have the pregnancy test that's shows two lines when pregnant or a plus sign???" LOLLLLLLLLLLLL And it didn't help that I had gotten rid of the box with the instructions a long time ago!
So to make a long story short, we went to Target to buy a new test and it was negative. Turns out I had the test that shows a plus sign, not two lines. HAHA! It's been an interesting morning especially since I had to call my mom back and say, " Just kidding!!"

So here is the real scare... what happens if your period still isn't there in a few days? LOL I remember those days. I spent so much money on pregnancy tests, And those things are freakin' expensive! What is really funny is I had just talked myself out of taking one when my daughter sarah was four months old and I hadn't had another period since my first one. I started doing the math and realized it had been 7 weeks... hmmm... took one first thing that morning and oops... Baby number three!!

It's just funny because I'm NEVER late. EVER. I start at exactly 28 days at 11am. It's SO regular. So this is truly wierd to be late like this. I just want it to come because I feel horrible!!!! F YOU ENDO!!!!!!!!!!!

at 28 days its unlikely the pregnancy test would register anyways... or if it did it would be barely. Don't waste time worrying though. I'm sure its just a fluke. *hugs*

Well, I got that EPT!!! 5 days BEFORE your missed period! I hope I'm still not pregnant because I'm celebrating my negative result with a bottle of wine! HAHAA!!!! It's probably just a fluke. It's just wierd because I'm not used to late periods. (I know, call me spoiled)... but as a precaution, we bought the 3-pack of prego tests.

I was so... like that. Always pretty regular and then I would freak out everytime I was late. What's hilarious is I did it even after my hubby had a vasectomy. How pathetic is that!? I actually bought a test and took it 'just in case'. LOL

Today's pregnancy tests are VERY sensitive, depending on the brand. It's possible to get +'s 5dpo. I did with my first (chemical pregnancy). However, each pregnancy is different, and while one may register + at 5dpo, another may not register until your period is due.
If you are late and not pregnant, and you have a history of corpus luteum cysts, it could be that. Or for some reason, late ovulation.

OH and OUCHY! I totally had a late ovulation this month! I posted on another thread that I was having ovulation pains but it was wierd because it was a week later than it should have been. It was in the "symptoms coming back after lap" thread. Maybe my entire cycle is off by a week? SO THAT'S what's wrong?!?!?! I used to be so regular!!!!!!! STUPID LAP!! STUPID ENDO! STUPID UTERUS!! STUPID HORMONES!!!! STUPID HUSBAND!!!!!!! wait... sorry. the word husband is usually default when I'm hormonally raging.

ha Jenaya i find it so funny that you had a preg test just 'laying around'! I'm lucky i've never had a real scare (i've been on the pills since i was 16!) but if i ever am worried i just like to think that if i forget about it it will go away.
is this your first period post op? that could be why its a bit mixed up, and hopefully it'll settle back down into a regular pattern again. I love that you can know the exact time of day too, that must make life so much easier!!(never having to be 'surprised' by it)

This is my second period. My first one was completely fine and normal just minus all the pain! I haven't had a late period in YEARS. But I do distinctly remember ovulating a week late this month. I have no idea what caused that but I feel horrible. I almost want to say I feel worse than I did before the lap but I'm afraid to admit it. I can't wait until I get my period. I'm so bloated I can't fit into my clothes, I'm tired, I feel nauseous. I never got this bad before. What the hell is going on??? My husband is SO NOT supportive either. He just gets angry with me so it doesn't make dealing with this any better. I'm so depressed.

Oh Jenaya you poor thing, sounds like your having a really sucky time. Isn't it the most frustrating thing when all of a sudden your clothes just don't fit! It's insane! Hmm well i suppose even though its your second it could still be affected by the lap? I'm not sure. But at least you know when you ovolulated and you've got the pre-bloating so it sounds like it IS on the way! I'm sure that before you know it you'll be bleeding and wishing you weren't Until then...take lots of baths, heat bag and eat yummy but healthy food to try and reduce the bloating. I really hope it gets better soon!!!

I'm hangin, I just want to get the damn period so I can complain about being on my period. LOL And I can't think of anything else that caused this other than the lap. I'm considering making a Dr. appt but I already know he's just going to tell me to get on birth control. I don't know what's worse, being crazy with endo, or being crazy with birth control.
