You know what I love even more? That sometimes it takes a few hours for me to even REALIZE I'm having a good day, that feeling so crappy is so far from my mind!! I love it when I don't even think about feeling awful, that I feel like myself, that I'm not thinking about feeling crappy!! Of course, the moment when it all sinks in again kind of sucks, but when you feel good, it's easy to get over it!!

Glad to hear that you ladies are feeling so well... I've started my modified diet, so here's to hoping there's some pain free days ahead and I can celebrate with ya. I do feel another surgery is in my near future, but I hope to push it off as long as I can. We're coming to an end for one of my studies and we need to lock our database by Jan for submission to the FDA, so I have my calendar planned out until Jan. I'm on-site every week with the exception of one week in Oct and Thanksgiving week. Yes, I have to travel the week of Christmas and New Years - how bad does that suck. I see no time that I could actually take off of work for three weeks - but I guess if it comes to it, someone will have to step up and help me out. It's the downfall of being a contractor - I'm worried that if I give them reason to let me go, they will. They've already cut almost all of the contractors this past June.
Italialynn - so happy to hear that you received a response from the CEC and they offered to help you. I can completely understand the hesitation to move forward with another surgery. At least you know the option is there though if you're not feeling better soon.

So I have to RAVE about a new gynae I went to yesterday. I wasn't looking for anyone special...just someone who could do yearly's and take care of me in case (fingers crossed) I got pregnant. WELL. She ended up being amazing and a breath of fresh air! She started going over my records with me and kind of agreed that doing another surgery right now might not fix my problem. She actually recommended alternative therapies! I was so shocked I almost fell out of my chair . She says she's had a ton of luck with adhesion pain through pelvic floor physical therapy (which I wanted to try but couldn't afford) and acupuncture (which I've done but didn't want to spend the $ again). I explained the tight $$ situation since my last surgery and she said she has a primary care doc that does the acupuncture and codes it as something totally different so the insurance company pays for it!!!! Same with the physical therapy.... I was just kind of taken a back. Not once did she mention hormone therapy or more surgery. It was just so nice, I thought I'd share!!! Maybe they're not all evil . So, we'll see. Something's gotta give, and hopefully this is the something!

Woo hoo! Best of luck with the PT! I went a few times but didn't have much luck, didn't think I really had a PT that knew what she was doing and, more importantly, felt comfortable doing it... If I were to do it again, though, I'd go to the PT that my gyn has had good success with, and not the one that was closest to me.
And SCORE on finding ways to have insurance cover it. Woo hoooooooo! Fingers crossed!!

Yes, I felt really good after the appt and he does not believe in Lupron, so he is willing to work with me to find a good long term solution. It really should be an easy procedure, as my ovaries are clear. From the US and exam he strongly feels that the right ovary attached itself to the back of my uterus which is in line with the symptoms I described before the exam. He will clean up any other endo that he finds as well.

Good, that's so comforting that he's willing to come up with a long-term solution!

sounds good! What a great doctor! on another rant: why do I have problems with constipation now? Ever since my lap I haven't been the same. I've also gained 15lbs! UGH!!!

15 pounds? Holy crap! That's a lot of weight in a short period of time. I gained 10+ after my lap, but I blame that on Mirena (which I've since had removed, yet haven't lost the weight. I'm convinced that some sort of hormone imbalance is to blame for me...) Perhaps part of your constipation is part of your weight gain? Have you tried doing a gentle cleanse of sorts for a few days to empty things out a bit?

I'm doing that now. I've been taking the milk of magnesia and I really need to up the fiber in my diet. BUt I'm seriously distraught over the 15lbs that I gained. That IS a lot of weight! I've never been this big in my entire life. My clothes don't even fit! I wonder why this happened after my lap! I'm going to kill myself in the gym until I get this layer of fat off.

that's hilarious. You worrying about weight, how sweet. Girl i go through fifteen pounds in a week on occasion. I dont' think you need to be worried yet! LOL I went to the Fiber myself. the pysiliium fiber ouchy suggested and its helping keeping me good in both directions. ;-) I strongly advise it! I have been in so much more pain since the surgery I can't help but think they just make it worse. *sigh*

I hate to ask this, but are you SURE you're not pregnant? Otherwise, I'm reading up on unbalanced hormones at the moment, which can lead to changes in weight. After my lap, my NP told me that the surgery could have pissed off my ovaries for a bit and thrown off hormone production for a bit (this is how she explained my weepiness, not weight gain)... Just a thought, perhaps completely out of thin air.
