Fingers crossed that the CEC is super-responsive and has some insight for you!

Ok, well my surgeon called me back and is agreeing with Ouchy. From my symptoms alone, he suggests that my ovary has reattached itself to my colon and intestine. The only way to remedy that situation is to go back in and remove all the adhesions again. I brought up the fact that going in again would create more scar tissue, but he suggests that because I had so much endo last time and it was removed, it created a bunch more scar tissue during the healing process. Since there's (presumbly) no endo anymore, if he went in to strictly just remove the adhesions, I'd have a less likely chance of recurrence (20%). He said he wouldn't charge me any surgeon fees and the only fees I would have are the hospital bills (which would be $0 since I've already reached my out-of-pocket expenditure this year). I really have no idea what to do. He said I'll only get worse over time and this is my only option in his eyes. I really need yall's opinion on this. This would mean more time off work and obviously more money on travelling again. Plus the mental toll alone of having yet ANOTHER surgery that I don't even know will work. But on the other hand I'm back to pain medication everyday with full-time diarreha everytime I do any type of strenous activity. Help!!!!!!

It's a free surgery that could possibly help you. If you're in this much pain daily, you're going to have to have another surgery, regardless. This is a surgeon familiar with your insides, his work, and he's offering to do his best to fix you for FREE. If you don't have him do it, you'll still have to have time off work, pay surgeon's fees, hospital, etc. Assuming you wait unitl next year when you haven't met your deductible. Good luck on whatever you decide.

I'm kind of with Ouchy on this one. I would think it's rare for a surgeon to offer his services like this, and since he's already familiar with your case and your innerds, and you're already miserable enough and would likely need surgery again sometime soon, might be worth it. You raved about the CEC before, why not have them take care of things now before your quality of life takes even more of a dump? Think of the opportunity cost of having the surgery now vs. later - what would you gain by doing it now vs. waiting?
I know you have all sorts of other factors to weigh in there, too, just my two cents! Best of luck making a decision - I can imagine it's a hard one to make! Glad you were able to get such a positive response from them!

It also means this surgeon and the CEC highly value their reputation! If not, he'd have told you to go on your merry way!

I really appreciate yall's input. I guess another surgery would be eminent in my future anyways, and I should probably get it taken care of before I'd have to pay out of pocket for it again. I just hate going back under the knife in only three months. I guess people do it all the time though. I think I'm going to have my ultrasound next week and make sure there's not something funky going on first. I'll also give it a month off the pill and see if that makes any difference. If by September I'm not feeling any better, I schedule my next surgery...

I think that sounds like a great approach!
Might I suggest tracking your symptoms on reliefinsite.com during the next month? Might give you or your doc some insight as to the symptoms you're having and when they get better/worse. (If you're not an anal tracker like me, though, disregard!)

Woo hoo! I LOVE it, too! I don't do much more than track my pain levels every day now, and maybe record a few notes, but I'm always amazed to look at the pain level graphs and how it coincides with my period and ovulation. I'm such a dork!! My docs have been fascinated by it, too!

Hey, that's good! Maybe since your innerds are still healing, when you ovulated and had your period, things were still tender and hurt?!? Hopefully you'll do good again next month!
