I was diagnosed with endo 11 years ago. I have had 4 laps and a total hyst.-only my right ovary left. I started with pain in my upper right quadrant that was this burning stabbing sensation...doctor did every test possible and said it was gastritis...prescribed acid reflux meds and sent me on my way...it was after that I then had my hyst. Well, it is 14 months later and the pain is back and in full force. All the symptoms are gallbladder disease but none of the test prove this...my family dr. has exhausted his resources and is sending me to a surgeon. Is it possible to have endo of the gallbladder? Liver? This is the only thing I can think of unless the test are wrong-which can happen. But the burning and stabbing feeling is all too familiar. Any advice?

It's possible to have endometriosis ANYWHERE. I keep hearing about crazy rare cases where people get it on their brain and stuff like that...but on the gall bladder or liver is really not rare. I have heard of people having their gall bladders totally destroyed by endometriosis, so don't mess around about getting this figured out!!! If your doctor doesn't believe you, get a new one.

HI! I had the exact same pain (though I haven't had hysterectomy)! I had the gall bladder tests, and they showed that my gall bladder was functioning at 66%, which is within normal limits. I was already scheduled for a lap, and if the gall bladder was bad, I was going to have it popped out at the same time as the lap; however, during the lap, it turned out that my appendix was flipped up and backward and adhesioned on to my cecum (part of intestines), and my sigmoid colon was adhesioned on to my intestines as well. Once this was resolved, 4 months post-op now, the ever-so-frightful pain which was thought to be gall bladder is gone! No more stabbing after eating just the slightest bit of fat or oil (though i still keep that to a minimum)..I can now eat french fries!!! yayyyy! Don't know if this helps, but if you go in for another lap, have the doc. give a close look at your intestines and all the parts down in there!

sorry. the sigmoid colon was adhesioned sideways and onto my pelvic wall, not on to the intestines.

Hey, smileitstara. Thought I would let you know that I just ate a fatty meal for the first time since probably July, and it caused the same symptoms I had as before my surgery....the attack that mimmics the gall bladder pains. As I am typing this, I am all crunched over, and I just spent the past 5 hours in bed w/ a heating pad on my stomach. So, I thought that the endo surgery cleared all my pain and gall bladder-type attacks after my intestines and colon were freed up...but it didn't... I think I will go back for more gallbladder tests in a bit if this happens again! Back to the super low-fat diet for me!

The tests I had were an ultrasound (to check for stones), a HIDA scan and some other test that I forgot the name of. I know they used radioactive dye in one, and I think that was the HIDA. If I remember the name of the other test, I'll post it.

Hi guys,
Has anyone here had endometriosis on there bowel? Well I just had my uterus fixed cause i had a uterine septum, and my uterus was not normal, but now it's normal. Thats why I probably why I couldn't get pregnant. But I did have surgery in october last year to clean out endo i had mild case of it and when i did this surgery on friday my soecialits saw a bit more of the endo and she cleaned it out, but unfortunately, there is a little of endo on my bowel which she cannot remove becuse i have to go to another specialists to see about the bowel endo. But my specialist now said to me that you should be able to concieve because your endo isn't anywhere else apart from your bowel and it won't affect it. But it could cause some pains later on, it could she said (hope not). Has anyone had a case where they had endo on their bowel and gotten pregnant? if so love to hear your story thank you.

I would say that you can get pregnant. What causes Women to be infertile with endo is that the endo attaches everything together and then the ovary's and tubes are not aligned properly.
Second of all i would get that endo of my bowl. Trust me after a few years you will probably fell allot worse and it will probably go somewhere else.
Wish you luck.
And for all the women i suggest them to read 'Natural Cures they don't want you to know about'
I'm reading it and its pretty bad how your government works.
I'm in Canada so its not that bad.

Hi - Before I was diagnosed with the endo, the doctors were convinced I was having gallbladder attacks along with the other lower abdominal pain. I had a lap to have it taken out, and apparently there was "sludge" in it (I know, so very technical), but otherwise it was fine and probably didn't need to be taken out. Sometimes I still get the same upper right sided pain. Before I found out about the endo, I would often become convinced I had appendicitis, because the pain was on the lower right. Turns out all of these pains have been endo related, including what I thought was IBS!

Good luck w/ the IVF!!!! ;D Also, did you know that if you have endo on your bowels, it can actually grow through the bowel walls and invade inside the intestines/colon? It sounds scary. Not trying to scare you, just to make sure you are informed. I have endo on my bowels, too. They lasered off all they could during my last surgery, but I had a couple short pains there this past period. I hope it's not coming back. Good luck with whatever you do. I'll keep my fingers crossed that your IVF sticks!!!

nooo, i wasn't worried to scare you over IVF and having a baby. I didn't want to scare you with telling you that the endo could actually invade through the muscles of the colon and intestines. i had a sigmoid colonoscopy after my lap, and they didn't find any endo inside the sigmoid colon, thank goodness! guess it was just on the outside yayy! good luck again w/ the IVF! Let us know if it is a success!
