I love hearing how couples met..... I met my husband at Carl's J.R. the first thing I noticed was his big smile then when he brang me my order I said "nice butt" as he walked away ) The next day he came to my work (shoe store) we worked in the same shopping center Then he bought some shoes from me and asked me for my phone number. Its so neat because we still have the shoe box and we saved all our love letters inside it. On Febuary 2007 we will be married for 10 years

I wish I had a story like this to share, but I have not got a significant other at this time. I can't wait to have somebody long term and look back on our history though. It's funny that you wound up married all because he bought shoes from you. Maybe I should have asked that cute girl I bought hot chocolate from for her phone number...

I meet my boyfriend when I moved in the neighborhood that I'm in now. He cut grass at my next door neighbors. I didn't have a law mower so I asked if he would cut my grass he said yes. Ohhh was he so cute. He was cutting my grass with no shirt on and his muscles we was sooo hot.. So anytime we would come cut my grass I would go out a talk to him.. He asked if I would go out to this bar they were having this band play there at that time I turned him down.. Then he always told me to stop by if I saw his garage open so I did and after that we been together since that. It will be a year in October.. He is a great guy he is the only one I have been with who understands the pain I'm in and don't say OHHHH here we go again in pain.. He is soooo supportive..

No I don't have a story of how I met my significant other, because as I said I don't have one! I said I wished I had a story to share, if I did have a story I'd share it. I am glad you found a boyfriend who is supportive masagnu.

I have a story, I got laid off from my job and that day I had to take my car to the mechanic and I my mechanic and he needed someone to organize his garage so of course I now needed the cash. So a few weeks later he told me that he needed a new mechanic. So, I was out front of the building I live in talking to the superentenant and Vache (my husband) was also out there and we all starting talking and I needed a pair of coveralls to work in, and Vache said he had a pair r and he also lives in this building so he went right up and brought me a pair (they where size 50, so I looked very funny in them), I then told him that my mechanic needed someone to work, Vache is a mechanic on the side so he started working there 2 weeks later, he didn't drive so I drove him back and forth everyday. (Darn I thought!). since the day he started we really haven't been a part for more than 2 days! It was a strange but fun relationship at the beginning cause first I was always greasy and doing seriously manly things and second I was his assistant, I had to hold the light for him while he changed a motor or transmission and let me tell you, you i was not very good at holding the light still! if you know what I mean! We where alone most of the time cause the guy that owned the place was off somewhere and there we where to youngens falling in love! It was alot of fun. Then eventually we had to get real jobs and remember that life really isn't that fun

Still considered a guest...waiting for that account approval.
My husband and I were hooked up by my mother. Now this gets a little unethical, but my mother is not the brightest or most responsible person.
I was 14, he was getting ready to turn 17, and my mom was his boss at a local pet store. She kept telling him to call me, and I kept going in to see him, er, I mean my mom. He finally called me to shut her up and invited me over to a "little" birthday party his parents were having. I ended up meeting his entire family (grandparents, aunts, and uncles) and his two best friends.
Anyway, to keep it as short as possible...a couple of weeks later we were sitll talking on the phone and found out that my mom told him I was sixteen! We were put off a little at first, but we liked each other. We dated for six and a half years before he proposed. We were married two days after our seven year anniversary in 2005.
I tease him all the time that he just wanted my mother to leave him alone and instead he is forever linked to her!

I met my husband at a cafeteria/break area at college. I was a freshman and he was a senior. We stared at each other for a whole month - he was always at a table with girls and I always had friends at my table. One day he came over and asked me out and after he got my number he ran away- I still laugh at that. That night while I was carpooling with my sister (we were in college at the same time) I told her the cute guy at school finally asked me out...she still tells this story. On the third date he told me his parents names were Tim and Mary (my husband's name is Tim and I am Mary) so I knew we were meant to be together. His mom said the same thing when she found her and I shared the same name! We dated 4 1/2 years and then got married. We have been married for 7 1/2 years now and we are still having a blast!

I met my fiance three and a half years ago. He worked next store to my cousin. Our first date was nothing special. He really wasn't my type. We didn't talk much (shy). He even invited a friend (who was a girl) along on our date... That really bothered me. I wasn't going to go on a second date with him, but he asked me in person to go on another date and I couldn't turn him down. So, I thought "hey, one more date. Then I'll tell him it doesn't look like it will work out." We went on 2 more dates until he asked me to be his girlfriend. 3 1/2 years later we are engaged and will be getting married on 7/14/07. He is my soul mate and bestfriend. Guess he was my type after all. Amanda

In March I went to see a great play at a theater in downtown LA. The play was a piece from Belgium and Holland and I befriended all the actors and the Producer. We spent a great weekend together, went dancing till 4 am, where the producer and I just sort of gravitated to each other. The last night before he went back to Belgium we kissed and talked on his hotel rooftop till 5 am.
He then began writing me, and laid it on the line: he said he had never met anyone like me, was sick of not taking chances and would I please come visit him and see what this connection was all about.
So I went to Belgium for ten days and found out he was a very cool, warm, smart and wonderful man. I could not believe after 2 days there I felt like we had been together for ten years. We cook, dance, walk, talk, make art, make each other laugh, are out of our minds honest and real with each other. He is dedicated, real, interested in everything and tries new things even if they make him uncomfortable. Oh and he's gorgeous and cooks...
He is also 6000 miles away, but hey...
We go back and forth and I am learning many many things about myself, about intimacy, this disease, fear of commitment, feeling very confused, afraid and GRATEFUL
ohhh love

My boyfriend and I meet seven years ago ( on halloween weekend) a group of us were going to the movies and his friends were out hunting so he came along b/c he had nothing better to do. It was a scary movie ( house on haunted hill) and he ended up sitting next to me... I tried to hard not to grab on his arm so i pretty much jumped through the whole movie. Afterwards i believe we went to a friends house a all played strip poker.. hahah yeah i know, we were 16+ though, ya know.. kids! as soon as he took his shirt off... i was in love~ im a pretty good poker player so me and my friend teamed up to beat the boys... =-) afterwards he asked a mutual friend for my phone number and bribbed him with taco bell for it. I was going through a very very very rough emotional time at that point and our first date he was soo sweet and nice and treated me like no other guy did and i started crying and told him that he didnt want to be with me b/c i was such a mess. He told me that I wasnt going anywhere and that he was falling in love with me. From day one he has always been the most supportive man I have ever met. 7 years later... we are still together, have done a lot of growing up and growing together.. possibly still not ready to get married though. the time will come though!

I met my husband in the 10th grade. I actually didn't care for him b/c him and about 3 other boys on the bus thought they were so cool but, I thought they were annoying. We didn't really become friends till our junior year. I had a crush on him and we talked at school and on the computer but, I thought he was too good for me. He was one of the popular guys and I was just...average I guess. Anyways...come to find out he liked me too. Now, at this point we are starting senior year. He asked me out Sept. 14, 1999 and we have been together ever since! We got engaged the next year and 2 years later on Sept. 21,2002 got married! and I am living happily ever after w/ my prince charming 7 years later!!!
