I met my headache of a boyfriend at work. We were friends first - I would hang out with all the guys from work at a gas station parking lot, haha. We talked here and there. I made fun of him because he was Canadian and said "ay", he made fun of me cause I'm from NY and say "Drawww" instead of "DrawER". We hung out a few nights at a mutual friend and co-workers house.
One night he just decided to message me on Myspace and within a week we had our first kiss. Almost year later he annoys me more than anything, but I love the guy. My mother hates him, but I think she is slowly getting the idea that he isn't going anywhere anytime soon!!!

My story is so funny... First off, My boyfriends name is Nick... and mine is Nikki (LOL)... we have been together for a little over 2 years now and we just moved intogether like 5 months ago... I was 16 years old and my parnets wanted to buy a big screen tv... they like to shop around alot before they buy. We first went to costco, but left on to other stores. At the end of the day we ended up at costco again (of course) to buy the first tv they looked at. I was so tired and annoyed at going every where with them (I almost stayed home, but decided I have nothing better to do). Because of my "fatigue", I decided to wonder off with my sister. We found this aisle with musical instruments... and I play guitar, so I picked one up, sat on the ground and played. All of a sudden this weirdo comes walking down the aisle... he was being slow and I know he was trying to listen to me. He stopped at a keyboard next to me and pretended to be interested in it, even though he was really interested in me. he just stood there for like seriously 10 minutes... secretly looking at me! Finally he goes "so you play guitar huh?" DUH!!! what a stupid question... but I just smiled and nodded. He kept trying to talk to me, but I was annoyed. We kind of small talked about music a little... and then we discovered that he knew my cousin. I was just trying to be polite. He asked how old I was and I said 16... he said 19. He asked if he could give me his # and I said yeah to be nice... he wrote it on this scrap piece of paper from the optical pharmacy place thing lol and I gave him mine... we left and the next few days he kept calling me. I always made excuses and had my little sister lie and tell him I wasnt home. My sister thought he was cool though, so one day she tricked me into talking to him. I tried to be really obnoxious and tell him all these things about me to turn him off... and this is what he said "Wow Nikki, Im really glad I met you. You are such an interesting person..." I was like OMG!!!! He invited me to this concert and I didn't want to go... but my friends did because they wanted to see the band playing so I went and met him there. By the end of the night I was head over hills in love. About a week later he asked me to be his girlfriend... and then he said "Nikki... I have to tell you something. I lied to you about something on the first day I met you... " and he threw his lisence on the bed next to me... and I looked at it. It turned out he was really 20 and almost turning 21... not really 19. I was like why would you lie to me about something so silly? and he goes "I liked you so much and I thought If you knew I was 20, since your only 16 you would think I was a creep" I was almost 17 though... we are 4 years apart and growing strong! I just think it's funny how I thought he was a freak at first... but fate pushed us together and now we live together! Life is strange... but I LOVE IT! I didn't have these pics when I first posted, but I decided to add them! hehe He always takes silly pictures! Never serious ones!!!

They TOTALLY freaked out lol... me and my parents are pretty close though... especially me and my mom. Plus, I was always a pretty good kid... checked in, was where I told them I was etc... at first they were cautious, as all parents are... they wouldnt let us in my room... when they got to know him, they started liking him... then they let us in my room, but the door HAD to stay open... and eventually, as we earned trust, we could be together more and go on dates. I turned 17 within months of meeting him... and although there is a 4 year gap, it's hard to tell because I am more mature for my age and he is a tad immature for his, so we balance it out lol. My dad and him are really close... they are EXACTLY alike... you know, for me it's true that you find a guy who is like your father... completely true lol. And it sucks becuase my boyfriends ALWAYS gone fishing just like my dad haha. but yeah.... we just had to earn trust... and nick had to deal with a lot of judgement from my parents. He was just honest and genuine and they learned that he was a good guy. Doesn't drink or party... and neither do I! So it all worked out in the end

Oh I forgot one thing.. I graduated when I was 17... im young for some reason... so I was going into senior year when we dated....So it's not that bad... as you get older, the gap seems less noticeable...

Yeah... and boys are naturally immature than us women lol... so if it works for us, than who cares what anyone else thinks... unless your friend starts dating some perverted psycho who's like 25 years older than her... then you can start caring lol.

Me and my boyfriend have only been dating since January. However, we known each other since elementary school and where always good friends. We even go to church together and have since we were kids. Its funny how fate kept us together. We went to elementary school in one city then we both ended up at the same high school in another. He recently told me that he's like me since high school, but honestly I wouldn't have given him the time of day even though I like him too. It was too weird cause we grew up together. Our relationship began to turn into more than friends this past October when I got my tonsils out. He was there for me like no guy ever had been. And now since the whole endo thing has come up he's there even more. Guess you never know who you'll end of up. He is the man of my dreams though. I'm sure he'll propose before the summer is out and everyone will know. I'll shout it from the roof tops i'm sure.

I met my husband when I was in 7th grade. I ran track for my middle school team and Levi (My husband) just happned to also be going out for the track team. About a month in to the season we had a little boyfrined girl friend relationship the kind you have when you are 11 that lasted 2 months. After middle school I moved to a different state but we kept in touch. After I graduated high school I moved back her to New Mexico where we became the best of friends and evetually boyfriend and girlfriend. We will now be married 2 years this August. And still always joke about our first sloppy kiss in the back of the bus.

GREAT THREAD!
I knew Mario in high school. It's real interesting as were truly JUST friends (I was taken by the cutest, yet not brightest bulb in the school - to this very day I have girlfriends who admit they were in love with him...HA HA HA) but Mario and I always seemed to have good conversations and hit it off.
Anyway, a few years went by and I moved and never saw Mario again. I fell in love with another man and married him. I got a divorced after 7 1/2 years of marriage, but never had children. Three years after getting my divorce I was in a slump dating on and off, but I dared not commit to anyone. I now know I was very scared to get into a relationship again.
I got invited to a Cuban party and didn't really want to go, but my friend did and she talked me into it. I went and THANK GOD I DID! I saw Mario there and YES...it was just like it happens in the movies because as soon as we saw each other...he totally gravitated towards me and we started talking. We talked and DANCED THE ENTIRE NIGHT! We both did not want this perfect night to end and went to have coffee and kept talking till 4:00 a.m.! NOPE FOLKS WE DID NOT HAVE SEX! ;D!
He'd never forgotten high school, had not married, and had no children either. He called me the NEXT DAY and the one after that, and the one after that ;D! We went out the following weekend on our first official date and it was the BEST date of my life! I knew he was SPECIAL and I would fall in love with him, and I did. ;D
WE HAVE NOT BEEN APART SINCE THAT NIGHT! We live together and he is the most supportive man I know. He is my rock! That was almost 7 years ago and I thank the lord I went to party that night! I love him more than any man I've ever loved! ;D
