Yah, but if the tubes are scarred, the chances of tubal go up, which can be life-threatening. That's probably a lot of the reason why people like to know. Also, sometimes during the flush, obstructions can be flushed out as well, leading to patency.

Thanks for that info! That totally cleared up some of my questions in regards to the dye and all that. As for the chlamydia - well I didn't have symptoms... someone called me anonymously and told me to get checked out cause my 'boyfriend' had it... so I have no idea how long I carried it for!! That part scares me a little..

K so I just wanted to give a little update on here... I had my pre-op appointment this morning and the nurse informed me that there will definitley be dye leakage for a day or 2 after the dye test. She also said that that area inside will feel tender and crampy. She said that they will have to send me home with one of those god aweful belted pads (more on that in the rant and rave section) and to keep pads on hand. The dye is blue, and she mentioned that I'm not to be alarmed if that blue mixes with blood and creates an odd colour. Now that I know I feel a lot better about it!!
