Yeah I have an appointment lined up with another endo specialist in April. I am on good enough terms with the current doc to keep getting my shots from them in the meantime. My PCP is also awesome and is essentially doing a lot of my gyn's job right now.
Kim, unfortunately I'm having similar issues as you did. My mornings are pure hell and without anti-nausea meds, anti-spasmodics, tylenol, and tramadol I am useless until 1 or 2 in the afternoon. I likely reformed my adhesions as well. I'm hoping pelvic pt helps.
Also what's great is knowing that a hysterectomy (with ovaries taken too!) is a viable option if I need it. My endo seems to go crazy now if I have any estrogen. My only hope is if I somehow can maintain on a Progestin only method when my shots are over.

I left the cervix. Even being on the Mirena and Lupron it came back and worse it was not only attacking my colon this time it was my bladder, my colon was attached together again and there was more endo then the first surgery. I felt great for the first couple months on Lupron but mid third and beginning of 4th was horrible. That's when my Dr made the suggestion and I figured if the lupron is putting me into a fake menopause then I might as well do it get it over with and move on with my life. I know a hyster does not cure endo it can grow but I feel amazing and three wks after the surgery I am back at work like my old self happy, smiling, walking and EATING CHOCOLATE AGAIN.. YUMMY

Had my first shot this week. Just came off of the Depo provera. So far, pain is still in my pelvic area, but no worse than it has been. I feel like I'm about to start my period which I haven't had in over a year. Hot flashes aren't so bad. I've always had a temper but now it's worse. Boyfriend likes to press my buttons and I suspect spousal abuse in the future (me kicking his add).
Will report on week two.

This could be from the change of meds. Call your Dr. Never hesitate to call your Dr if you have a question.

Bleeding, pain, and other symptoms are normal during the first shot. Also things definitely get way better for most women by week 6 or 7 of treatment. Calling the doc is definitely a good idea, and knowing the expected course of my symptoms during my first few months really helped me a lot. This is a rough drug, though then again for many of us this is a rough disease. I'm into my third month of Lupron treatment feel free to bug me

Thanks you guys! I called my Dr and they said everything sounds normal and I have a follow up on the 25th. Doing a lot better this week. Hot flashes are the only symptom I'm having. And dropping weight, which I'm okay with that! Still kind of feels like I'm going to have a period, just a little pressure. Did anyone experience that as well?

I've been on the Lupron shot since November 2012 and I've still bled like I've had a period every month. The first couple of months, I kind of figured that it was break through bleeding, which I expected. However, the past few months I've started my period (or bleeding, I'm not quite sure what to call it) about 18 days after getting the shot. I called the doctor and he wanted me to stop using the vivelle dot thinking that it was the cause of it but I'm still bleeding like I'm on a period. I don't really know what to do, but I do see him on Monday March 25th and we'll see what's going to happen from there. I wish that I had a good experience with this shot, but sadly - I don't think I did. .

I've been on Lupron for just under a month now (my next injection is in a week), and at first I thought it was not going to work at all for me. I had hot flashes within days, mood swings the next week, and NO pain relief at all - in fact, I had an increase in pain back up to my pre-surgery level. On top of that, I spotted/bled/clotted nonstop. Then, last week, it stopped. I literally woke up one morning and the pain was -gone-. It freaked me out a bit. Mind you, I still ache if I am very active or if I sit for a long time (driving in particular - long drives are out of the question), and I still need pain killers at the end of the night, but it is a HUGE improvement. Has anyone else experienced sudden pain relief like this? It's the strangest thing...

Your experience is extremely typical for Lupron. I just started my fourth month on Lupron. The first 3 weeks I had what is called a clinical flare. Including some bleeding, increase in pain, among other endo symptoms. Lupron works by essentially burning out the pituitary so that it stops produces estrogen and progesterone. Unfortunately before Lupron makes the brain stop producing sex hormones it sends the brain into overdrive meaning more estrogen, and since endo is a estrogen fed disease more endo symptoms.
If you are on monthly injections you may also have what is called the miniflare in the beginning of the second month. For me the first week and a half of the second injection I had an increase in symptoms again but much milder, less even than before I started the shots. After that all my endo symptoms went away.
However! I also continued to have the general acheyness you're describing. Endo can leave behind some messes after it is quieted down. If the aches don't go away go back to the gynecologist. In my case ongoing endo symptoms caused Pelvic Floor Dysfunction, essentially tightness and spasms of the muscles in my pelvis. Muscle relaxers and Pelvic Physical Therapy can help though.
Also, if there is too much endo in your body still the shot may not be very effective as deep endo lesions can produce their own estrogen. However, based on what you're saying you're on a good track with Lupron.
Many docs will offer to check in with you each shot which is a great idea I have always found it very reassuring, and it also helps me keep on top of the docs and make sure they're cont to plan for treatment after Lupron.
