I can't answer about the kidney, because I'm too ignorant, but I also had lots of pain around the incisions--not from the incisions, but from healing from them/adhesions. The backward bends in bikram yoga, even though they hurt like HELL, really helped stretch those out. I don't know if you're dealing with the same thing, so take this with a grain of salt!

I've tried some stretching (I have only done yoga a few times, so I don't know the names of the moves), like the one on the floor where you push up on your arms and look up & back to the ceiling. If I lay flat on my back it relaxes out,so first thing in the morning has been most comfortable this week. My co workers and hubby convinced me to check in my my PCP but of course I spoke to the nurse and she had no idea what to tell me. Oh well!

Well, my next follow up is April! I was hoping it was nothing or might resolve but it is pretty annoying. I can email my surgeon, I was trying not to bother him because he has really spent an inordinate amount of time on me. Argh! Thanks for the input, rust.

My pain seems to be waxing and waning but has gotten more intense over the last few days. I had a lap about a year ago and all was going very well until now. I am not sure if the pain is endo or adhesions. I was told after my lap that I do not have endo on my bowel but that I did have adhesions there that were removed. I am going to see a specialist that was recommended to me by my rolfer. He does visceral work. While not a physical therapist, he is supposed to be very good. If he doesnt work out, I am going to try PPT. I looked at a link that Jenaya posted in this thread and have located one in my area. Anyone else having any luck with this type of pain relief?
