Anybody else ever experienced this? I get it every couple days or so where I get hit with a bad headache, then I feel like I'm going to wretch my guts out, which in turn makes my stomach tighten into a million knots and I get diarrhea. Its like a full course stomach flu and the only thing that makes me relax is taking some Dramamine and going to lay down until it subsides, which usually takes about an hour and a half. Its so bizarre.

That doesn't sound viral, have you spoken to your doctor? I'm concerned that it's a migraine. This is kinda worrying to me, I suggest you keep a detailed diary of activities and diet, see if you can figure out a trigger? Really think you should get a doctor or nurse's opinion asap, to be safe.

I can't get anyone to listen to me about it. Like my regular doctors that are associated with my OBGYN just always tell me, "Well we have in your records that you have chronic headaches and so that's just something you deal with. There isn't anything that can be done about it." I've been having the headache/dizzy part for about 5 months now...its always dismissed. But the whole stomach curdling thing going along with it is fairly new...probably within the last month or so. And I don't think its viral either, but a very short lived stomach flu is the only thing I could think to compare it to. And I told them about taking the Dramamine and how that works, and basically they said if it works, keep doing that. But I know its just covering something up instead of taking care of the problem. My body is trying to tell me something but I don't know what.

Wow how awful for you. Is there anyone else you can go to for help about this? Ignoring headaches that are getting progressively worse is so wrong of them. The violent retching made me think of migraines but diarrhoea and cramping too. Worrying. Whats is dramamine for originally. Next time it happens can someone take you to the ER? Medics ignoring these things... never ceases to be appalling.

I've seen several doctors and they always seem to push it aside as just kinda a side note, you know? I take the Dramamine so that I don't puke. Its an antinausea. I think I would probably puke every single day if I didn't take them when I feel this coming on. Which is why I continue taking it because I see it as the lesser of two evils (puking all the time or taking drugs).
And our ER here is so wacked. I wish I could, but they will basically say "She doesn't have a fever, blah blah blah. She's fine" and will send me home. When I get my period back, I'm just going to let myself come to the point of passing out and then I figure if they take me in maybe they'll do something. I don't know.

That's so disappointing to hear, I'm so sorry. I wish I had some advice or sage words but I've got nothing...

I can imagine. The fact that you're having to let things take their toll to get medical intervention is testament to how badly you're being treated. Well I'm glad that at least the dramamine helps, I wish they'd do an MRI of your brain, this can't be right. Have you kept a diary of all of this, to illustrate to them that you're not throwing words around and that it's actually as bad as you're describing?

I don't even know if they'd take any notice. I stopped even going in because last time I called saying I was sick they didn't even want to make an appointment for me!

Yeah, I agree, sounds like a migrane to me. Do you see stars or spots when you get these headaches? I got them alot when I was planning my wedding, then after the wedding they went away and never came back. Are you drinking enough fluids? Maybe it's time to switch doctors....if they aren't listening to you then they don't deserve your money!

Weren't you going to see a naturopath?... Or am I thinking of something else? Wonder if he/she could have any words of wisdom. Any chance it's related to hormones? Are you still on depo provera?

I am still seeing the naturopath, but he's into this "Dealing with your biggest problem first" thing. And right now he says my biggest problem is the Lyme's so that's all he's trying to take care of as of now. And I'm sure there's still some of the Depo in my system, but I haven't had a shot since Aug. 16th.

Document it all anyway, it'll help when you see a doc who will help or god forbid, if you were to collapse. I've noticed depo shots stick around. I've still got one from nearly 2 years ago, sat under my tummy fat. I'm glad I has tummy fat, it'd look horrible if I were skinny again.
