Sorry if this is a little concise but I'm just getting the hang of logging in on my phone. Also I'm lacking some patience with the pain and feeling ill. Has anybody had an infection of the tube(s)? What was your experience and outcome? I'm due a scan after I finish this course of antibiotics. Slight bleeding from the external exam so just resting.

Thanks guys. I'm so clueless about this. Stupid to say it but it's true, I never looked it up cos I didn't think it would happen to me. Belly is swellied up nicely, glad I'm in my pjs!

Pass the cookies. Oh I would kill for a chocolate cookie right now. I've just read up a little and it's aka pelvic inflammatory disease/PID. I've overrun the docs with requests for STD screening but never had any positive results. I had terrible pain on my left last year and it was left untreated so to speak, it just settled after 6 months. I'm buzzing with questions and theories. I'm annoyed at my doctors but mostly at myself for ignoring it and letting them fob me off with morphine. Really now, if a patient needs morphine for sudden onset of pain? All past now, need to get on with sorting this nastiness out.

Has the pain lessened any?

No it's worse but in the comfort of my own home, with suppository painkillers (I can tell it's worse cos it's breaking through the painkillers today) and knowing what is causing it, I'm ok with that. I expected it with starting the antibiotics. At least I'm not whingeing today. Just panicked but there's no point assuming they will operate on me if I've not even had a scan yet.

I will. I see my GP tomorrow who should have a report off the emergency doctor. The suppository diclofenac isn't really cutting it today. I'm praying no more surgery. It's listed as a possible cause of salpingitis, as well as IUDs, retrograde menstruation etc there's literally so many reasons this could have started. Could really have done without more trouble, I thought I was out of the woods with the whole endo thing.

Anybody have any input or second hand experiences at all? I'm off work yet again and the blaoting is pretty rubbish. I don't see my doctor until tomorrow but my boss is being pretty understanding...

Hey cherry! I haven't had anything like this. PID is usually caused by STDs but you said you were negative for everything. Going out on a limb here, can it be caused by using tampons? I had an infection once when I had the IUD and the doctor swore up and down it was gonorrhea.... I was like, um... it freaking better not be because I'll be dumping my loser boyfriend if it is! It turned out to be negative for any type of STD. It was great to hear that I didn't have an STD but I still, to this day, have no idea what it was. My IUD had to be removed because I was at high risk for getting PID. On a side note, that loser boyfriend was cheating on me so who the hell knows what funk he gave me. I just know I tested negative for the stuff they normally test for.
