Hi everyone,
i have always had very painfull periods that lasted a week at a time which i put up with and although difficult to cope with never went to the doctor i just used to take lot of pain killers and dread every month.
Years later i got frequent bladder problems with cystitis symptoms that the doc would give me antibiotics for . These got worse and worse and i was being violently sick with each attack and hospitalised.
I changed docs when i moved and the lady sent me to a specialist who diagnosed endo and lazered it out and put me on the yasmin tablet. This helped a lot as i knew what the problem was . Also i saw someone who gave me tablets to help the candida i had and educate me on it.
I have since had another laproscopy and in need of another as side effects had come back again after a year, though this time i was adviced to try for a baby even though sex is painfull and had lots of painfull kidney infections where i end up hospitalised.
After all this pain and not knowing when the next infection is gonna happen , no energy , feeling like a hypochondriac cos i'm ill so much have seen a Phytobiophysics doctor who conducted tests and told me what i had . She has adviced me to stop taking the hormone tabs and switch to her herbal formulas, this is where i am at now.
So far i feel like a fog has left my head and sex is no longer painfull, she is confident that she can heal my body and that i found her just in time. This makes me feel very positive as nobody has been able to say they can rid me from it as yet.
However i do know it is early days .
Thats my story so far , i have tried to keep it brief!! XX

Hi, nicolaxx! Welcome to the forum! Sounds like you are going through a lot. Getting off of the birth control pill did wonders for me, too! Yasmin was one of the many I was on at one point or another, too.
We all know you're not a hypochondriac here! Thanks for joining and posting!
Look forward to seeing you around! Good luck w/ the herbals! ~Ouchy

Hi Nicolaxx,
I had bladder problems as well and they found out that the endo is actual inside of my bladder and it is often misdiagnosed. It is rare but if you have bladder pains I would have someone look into it. They found mine through a bladder cystocopy. I have surgery in a few weeks to have the part of my bladder affected removed - the last remaining endo in my system. They said if this is not taken care of in a timely matter it can cause all sorts of issues and go inside the urether and everything.
Good luck and welcome to the message boards!

Oh crikey , sounds like that could be the problem then... and the only way to deal with it is removal? The amount of times i have been in hospital and seen different people nobody has even offered a suggestion of endo in the bladder. Thanks for sharing the info and let me know how things go. By the way, how did you manage the pain ? I usually sit in the bath for ages topping it up with hot water.

I'm not sure if that is your problem but it wouldn't hurt to rule it out.
From what my doctor said it is very rare so it is usually not checked. He said removal was the only way. Although, I've read that there is another technique but it doesn't sound like it is a long term solution. The only long term solution is to have the surgery for removal. He is going to do it laparoscopically so the recovery won't be too terrible...except having a catheter for two weeks (or 3 weeks).
My pain would be terrible from my period to ovulation and then it would go away. I would do breathing exercises when the pain would get terrible. Pain pills did nothing for me with the bladder pain, they helped with the other endo pain but not the bladder pain. I did do Chinese Herbs for a while and that helped a bit for the bladder pain but then I stopped doing the Chinese Herbs because I was having surgery. I think it would have helped if I would have stuck with it longer.
Good luck and let me know if you end up getting it checked and if so what the results are!

hi nicolaxx,
i can understand your situation. may i know how's your pain like when you said frequent bladder problem. do you have problem urinating? or do you have frequent infection?
i used to have frequent infection and did a laparotomy last june. since then i haven't have any infection. mine was a 3rd stage endo and it has gone to my bladder. 1 month afte rthat i have problem urinanting- i think only hald of the urine came our and it's not in a smooth flow- something is blocking and i've yet to see my gynae about it.

Thanks mwilmot i will keep you informed!!
Hi Denna, my pain would start off as a cystitis symptom (though prescriptions for cystitis do nothing ). I have a pain in my stomach and a realy nast pain when going to the loo which burns and i feel like i need to go even though i will onlyy trickle (too much info hehe).
This then gets worse and i get a pain in my lower back thats continuous and usually end up being sick and then hospitalised as they have to put me on anti sickness , morphine , drip and antibiotics.
i have been diagnosed with weak bladder and kidney infections from the hospitals who never mention endo.
At the moment i have taken herbal tablets for it and have been in pain for a week but hasn't progressedas yet and has eased. I woke today to bladder pain and passed very dark orange urine though i have only been drinking water and very plain grilled food.
I am still sticking to my herbal tablets though had to have pain killers too toleave the loo , i am told that antibiotics feed my candida (not sure if your familiar with that?) so have no alternative realy.
I think you should see your gynea about your problem straight away to get the problem sorted out as it seems to be connected with your laparotomy so he should know what to do or let you know if your symptoms are normal after what they have done and will correct itself.
Def get on to them to put your mind at rest at least!!
Love , Nic

i am told that antibiotics feed my candida (not sure if your familiar with that?) Antibiotics don't "feed" candida--they kill the good bacteria that keeps candida in check, thereby letting the candida flourish with no probiotics to help keep it at bay. Antibiotics basically throw-off the vaginal ecosystem. It's always good to take an anti-fungal at the same time as taking an antibiotic or at least have some probiotics (like L. Acidophilus) on hand.

Hi Nicolaxx,
Yes, i am familiar with candida. had that few times.ya, doctor will give you antibiotic to kill bacteriathat couses candida.the bad tgings is they also kills good bacteria. Here i give you the supplement i got from my 'vitamin bible' ( The healing power of vitamin'sminerals and herbs.
take
Vit C 100g 3 times a day ( reduce if diarrhoea develops)
Echinacea 200mg 3 times a day
Acidophilus 1 pill twice a day ( or you can eat yogurt - i did this)
bifidus 1 pill twice a day
herbal tablets do cause dark urine and stool too..so it's normal.

doctor will give you antibiotic to kill bacteriathat couses candida. Antibiotics kill bacteria, not fungus--which is what candida is. Yeast is a fungus and NOT a bacteria. Yeast/candida is also NOT caused by a bacteria, NOR is it killed by antibiotics. Antifungals --like diflucan--kill fungi/yeast/candida.

nicolaxx, hi! The probiotics are a great supplement. It is also a good thing to have plenty of fiber in your diet to scrub dead yeast out of your digestive tract. Also, controlling your carbohydrate intake is key to fighting yeast, as the sugars feed the yeast (just like making bread...sugar and warmth). If you find a bad vaginal flare-up, you can take boric acid vaginally(yes, the stuff that kills ants and roaches!) It is an old remedy, but there have been studies using boric acid in Africa on women w/ HIV and who had resistant strains of yeast. It killed even the diflucan-resistant strains w/ 90-some% success! I asked my gynecologist about using the boric acid in a compound called "Yeast Arrest," and my gynecologist said that it is still used by gynecologists when traditional medicines aren't working! Here is a link where I bought my Yeast Arrest from. www.naturalnutritionals.com/v01005.html It is $11.90 and has free shipping. At the time I researched it, this site had the best deal. I don't have any problems w/ yeast anymore, since I quit the birth control pill. That wound up being my problem, as it makes you more susceptible to candida. Hope this helps. ~ouchy
