Hey, you're welcome to stay on the wagon! If you haven't had a chance to read TCOYF yet, I'd highly recommend you picking it now. It's a great fertility-confidence booster!!!

Why in the world is my ovulation so regular? After all it has been through, this is the only thing that has been normal. My temps have been like clock work. It's amazing to watch but weird! I need to send the fertility gods to you gals because they somehow ended up at the wrong uterus! What's the deal with that? Kinda not fair huh?

So my temps dropped 6 days too early and now I'm getting hot flashes. WTF?
I'm on day 3 of having low temps, no period, just hot flashes. Strange! I'm guessing my period will still be on time though.

Hmm, sometimes my temps will drop 2-3 days before my period, then I'm left guessing! But it always shows up... Be prepared if you can just in case!
How long did you have high temps? Any chance it's your thermometer that's off?
I thought hot flashes were typically a symptom of estrogen withdrawal... hmmm...

Maybe it's the thermometer but it has been working fine until now. My temps were only high for 6 days and then they dropped and I got the hot flashes.
I read that these neuroendocrine tumors can cause "flushing" due to other hormones being all jacked up. I wonder if "flushing" is what I'm really feeling rather than hot flashes. Isn't it the same thing though?
I'm not sure what happened this month.

I've been consistently temping for about a month now, because I want to see if I am ovulating at all due to all these cysts that keep popping up. But being on Provera I shouldn't be. So far, I don't think there is any sign of ovulation, but all my waking temperatures are really low. Especially in the last week, they have been consistently 36.1 or 36.2C (96.98, or 97.16 F)
I have been suspecting myself of having hypothyroid for a while, but do you think it would be accurate enough to use these temps while taking Provera, or would the progesterone have an effect at all?

Progesterone actually raises your temps, though I don't know if a progestin (provera) would have any effect on your temps. Mine are actually in the same range as you and I have thyroid issues. Wouldn't hurt to get it checked out, but be sure they check tsh, t4 and t3 as they can reveal a lot more than just tsh.
Pat on the back to you for tempting! It can tell a lot about what's going on inside.

Unc - right after my period my temps are 96.8 - 97.0 and after ovulation they jump to 97.6 - 97.8. all my waking temps are low. I asked my NP about it and sure it could be Thyroid, but I had tests, and they were fine.... He said if you worry about it being low, to check it not once but 3 times a day and average the temps. i did this a couple times and later in the day my temps do rise to 98.6 so I stopped worrying. Maybe try that if you're concerned? other good advice (from Karen) was to get a second thermometer and just double check. What I did was take my personal thermometers to a doctor's appt and after she used hers to temp me I checked both of mine and they were thesame.. so I saved 13 dollars lol

Good point, Pretty! I took my temp after work yesterday just for sh*ts & giggles and it was LOWER than it was that morning! I've never been 98.6 at the doc's office for as long as I can remember - I've always been low. Bleh! So, yes, something to keep in mind. I should also note my tsh has been tested for years and has always been well within normal range, but digging deeper showed the real issue so don't be afraid to ask for a full thyroid screen if you'be been told everuthing is fine but you still suspect it.

Hmm, god point, maybe I will try and do an average for a while, although it has typically always been low, for as long as I can remember.
For getting hormones checked, I think I need to be off Provera for it to show anything. I'm slowly working towards that. I am trying to easy my body down very slowly, because it seems to really hate change, especially drastic change.

You should be able to have your thyroid levels checked while on Provera. I know you've been tested for a ton of things before - any chance you've already had it done?
