I am not new to Endo Resolved but new to the fertility message board. I have been off the pill for 3 years and we started with the opk a year ago when we didn’t get pregnant. I was also doing, the endo diet, Chinese herbs, acupuncture, and tracking BBT. I ovulate regularly but was not getting pregnant and the endo pain was getting so bad so this June I ended up getting my first lap (you can read my intro for more details). Anyway, my tubes were both blocked and I recently found out my ovaries had been stuck to my abdominal wall. I had 3 laps in 4 months to correct everything and my doctors said after the last surgery (October 19th) that everything looks good but I don’t go into my post-op visit until December 18th. My regular gyn did the 1st lap and wasn’t specialized so not a lot was done. The surgeon that did my last 2 laps is specialized in endo and fertility. He has been really wonderful to work with.
As I was in the hospital from the last surgery they said that I could start trying to conceive as soon as I get my period. I took a 3 month Lupron shot in August so my period should return in a month or so (the Lupron was to slow the growth of endo inside of my bladder and it ended up doing the opposite). My husband also goes in on the 18th to have a semen analysis. Although I think he will be fine since he did get his high school girlfriend pregnant (she had a miscarriage)…so we know his boys can swim! I’m having him go so there is one less thing for me to think about.
I have 5 sisters and 2 of them have endometriosis and one has 4 children and the other has 3 children. They both had their babies in their early twenties and they say the earlier the better (I’ll be 31 in January).
Anyway, I’m just posting now so you have my fertility bio. I look forward to reading your posts and celebrating with all of you when I hear baby news from others on this board. Wish me luck and hopefully my husband and I will be ready to try to conceive in a few months!
