Hi, sassyharls! Welcome to the forum. Please take a moment to introduce yourself in the "Introduce Yourselves" room so that others can more easily find out your history and who you are. I have not carried a pregnancy to term, but others who have been pregnant with whom I have spoken have said that their endo symptoms greatly went in to remission. Welcome again. ~Ouchy

Hi Ouchy, No worries, I will sit down tonight and write an intro. With regard to the endo pain, I have just found out I am 4 weeks pregnant, but I am still getting some of my endo pain. Not as much as when I have a period, but it is still there none the the less. I have a Dr's appointment next week so guess I will just have to wait till then. Sarah

Hi Denna, Thankyou! OK, my symptoms are abdominal pain, similar to period cramps, but not nearly as bad, and also a stitch like pain that I have been getting in recent months with my period, on my left side. This starts as soon as I have ovulated and continues till my period finishes. I am wondering if there could be endo on that side that has filled with blood as it normally would before my period, but because I am pregnant it has not shed and is therfore irritating the surrounding area?? That is my theory- any ideas? Sarah

You could also be experiencing implantation cramps.

Hello Sassyharls, I'm preggers at the moment, and I have also been having cramps...right over the time when my period was due...not like period cramps but more like those pre period ones...I have sharp shooting pains in the region of my ovaries, which come and go...normally around ovulation and then again during my period...they appear esp when I sneeze...go figure...but they are quick and ease up after a few seconds - thank goodness.
I have had no spotting or anything and because they have not been too painful I am not too concerned. Many women say that they have some discomfort or cramping in the first few weeks due to the ligaments and what not...
I'm very hopeful that the endo pain wont be there as severly. If my pregnancy makes it I am wondering if I will have slight cramps over the time when my next period will be due.
Hope everything will go well for you...good luck for you doc appointment.

iam not sure i have it yet, but highly suspect it, and i can tell you i had cramping up until maybe 8 weeks or so, and then it was smooth sailing through pregnancy, even my IBS symptoms were not as bad. i sware almost 9 months of no pain, was heavenly. hope to do it again soon. my period ended yesterday, and i still have mentral cramping, and pain? WTF?
congrats on your pregnancy. your endo symtpoms will likely be somewhat relieved from pregnancy. in the begginning you'll cramp, but so do alot of women without endo, while their bodies adjust to pregnancy. after that you should feel better!
good luck!

Hi Lauren, I too had pain when I sneezed. I talked to my doc about the sneezing pain and the premenstrual cramp like pain during my 1st few months of pregnancy. He said it is normal. The way he explained it was - Just think, your uterus is growing from a small lemon to the size of a grapefruit. So that pain is the ligaments stretching and all your organs shifting to make room for the baby. I'm on my 2nd trimester now and the premenstrual like pain is gone, but I still do get that sharp pain on my right side when I sneeze too hard. He said to hold a pillow on my belly when sneezing to help with the pain. The suggestion was nice but only works at home. I don't walk around at work or at the stores with a pillow and then everyone around me can tell that the sneeze hurt by the expression on my face and body language.

iam 99% sure i have endo, and probobly bad endo, but i had a child via clomid/iui after 3=yrs ttc, and during the pregnancy i felt great, even my IBS symptoms were improved then, but after my child, my periods became incresingly heavy and more painful, which is when endo was suspected by my dr.
the pain definately calms for most during pregnancy. my drs want me pregnant again (so do i), and we are trying narurally now...14 mo, and they both said the same thing 'at least you'll get 9 mo pain free' so it must be a pretty standard thing for it to go into somewhat of an 'remission' during pregnancy.
hugs, michelle

^ You will know when your temps rise and stay high. I think it is 3 temps higher than the previous 6. If you are using a fertility charting program like fertilityfriend.com, it will analyze the ovulation pattern for you. My charts are everywhere, too! I also get a lot of fluctuation in my OPK's...obviously negative, allllllllllllllllmost positive, obviously negative, and then bam! +! It doesn't count as a + unless the test line is DARKER than the control line. It takes some getting used to!
