Hi, denna. Sorry no one has responded yet. Most of the women on here so far conceived before they knew they had endo. Plus, most of the women have had laparoscopies instead of laparotomies. Sooo many women are joining the forum, though. I'm sure you'll get a response sooner or later. Hang in there and keep checking your thread!

thanks ouchy.
ya i did notice that many had kids before they had endo. if i ever knew, i would have had kids sooner.i thought of delaying it for a while and went travelling, didn't know it's so hard to conceive.anyway, i'm still hopeful

Hi again, denna. Actually, most of the women conceived before they knew they had endo, most likely not before they had endo to begin with. Most women with endo actually are fertile.

:)Denna,
I had a laparoscopy on July 20, 2006, and still have not started my cycle. My RE prescribed Follistim and we will be doing IUI....if my cycle would start back up again. Its frustrating to say the least, but now they have me doing a pregnancy test last week and next week, to make sure I am not pregnant before they intervine to help my cycle start. I did not know I had endo until we started trying and I am 37 (38 next month). My sister had it and had 10 rounds of IVF and 2 babies. I have hope for us both...

I forgot to write about this. One of my friends actually had endometriosis and fibroids; she had surgery for both and just had a healthy baby boy!

...Forgot to add that the friend to whom I referred in the previous post actually tried for 10 years to get pregnant (before she knew about endo and fibroids). She had the surgery last summer and several months later got pregnant!!!

thank you for your post. i feel much better. sometimes we really think too much. i've even called a fertility clinic and asked the cost for an ivf..way to advance but it's good to know too right.
ya, i do believe in miracle. i had met a private doctor here and he told me his friend of 43 years old just delivered a baby girls after years of endo pain. well, there's still hope. i was given an appointment for hsg ( to check if my fallopian tubes are not bloecked) and my gynae will starts treatment after he got the results.meanwhile i'll go for alternatives..
carebear, did your gynae prescribes you with all that? i've taken 1 cycle of clomid when they discovered that i have endo last june.
