;DHey there, i was wondering how to work out an ovulation calendar? i've read that on average a woman ovulates 14 days before the start of her next period...but is that the same for most? how do you know? what if i ovulate way earlier or later? how do we know when the best time to try it? i'm trying the take my temp every morning thing but dont know how reliable that is...

Hi, Lauren! I'm charting my cycles. I am also using a saliva ovulation microscope and LH test strips to predict ovulation, since I have always been irregular. I have made up a great cycle chart on Microsoft Word. If you like, I can e-mail the chart to you. You can find more about the saliva ovulation microscope under my thread also in the infertility/fertility room advice and support room. Some doctors don't like the basal body temping, as many say it is unreliable.

Hehe! Currently, my husband and I are trying to prevent our first one! I'm using the chart and everything I measure listed on the chart to try to avoid getting pregnant. In a few months, though, we may reverse that and use all of that to aid in getting pregnant. For now we're just getting used to the chart and fertility-awareness tools, tyring to realize patterns and such.

3 months really isn't a very long time when trying to have a baby. I have had endometriosis for as long as I've been menstruating and I have a baby, that wasn't planned, he just happened. If you truly want children you shoudl try for a minimum of 6 months but more like a year. It will take you 3 months just to figure out your ovulation schedule. good luck to you.

Hey Janet, Yeah I have had endo for a long time, I was also diagnosed with adenomyosis. anyhow i some how got pregnant wasn't expecting it so I do have a lil girl however I want another kid before I had major surgery. But I am not happy with the pain and depression and everythign that I am going thru right now, I know 3 months is not enough but at the sametime I may not even concieve thats what my doctor told me so that sucks!!! I just wanted to give it shot if it's meant to happen it will but if not then i guess better get that surgery done and get rid of pain and suffering
