I wanted to start a thread on this because it is really an amazing new technology for laparoscopy. Here are some articles: www.mlive.com/printer/printer.ssf?/base/news-36/1179749116160870.xml&coll=6&thispage=2www.intuitivesurgical.com/products/index.aspx(I may have posted one of these elsewhere) This is not necessarily being used for endometriosis (though it can and should be), but here in Chicago it is...if anyone lives in this area I will recommend my doctor. This is apparently a much better way of removing endo - I have stage IV which my doc says requires a higher level of surgery than most surgeons perform. Just want to get the information out there...

Hi Camille - My 2nd and 3rd surgery were done with the DaVinci Robot (I have stage IV). I was in a study done by someone in France to see if the recovery from the DaVinci Robot was less than with conventional surgery. Dr. Nezhat in Palo Alto does his endometriosis surgeries at Stanford with the DaVinci Robot. I had seen a great video on it but now I can't seem to find it. I'll keep looking.

Yah. LOL. I just searched through and found it was you! I'm excited that you're still here! I guess it's actually the girl who had excision w/ Dr. Redwine who never logs in anymore. K. Sorry to distract your thread. Back to robots!

I'm still here...I'm just one of those people that only speak up when I have been through something similar and can talk to my experience!

Mwilmot-
Did you already post about this somewhere else? I searched but didn't find any threads and I don't want to be repetitive here - but I want to hear about your experience!!

Camille - I have some of my experience posted in 'Laparoscopic Stories' and also in 'Segemental Bladder Resection'. It would probably be somewhere from July 2006-December 2006.
However, I'd be happy to answer any questions you have. If the questions are about the robot I have to admit there is not a lot I can answer since I only saw it for a minute before I was out for surgery!

thanks - that was helpful - I had it on my bladder also (though not inside) and have had complete relief since my surgery!

Great...I'm so glad you didn't have it inside your bladder and that you have found relief since the surgery!
