Try to get pregnant? We're ready for another baby now, but I'm assuming I'm going to have to wait a few months after the laprascopy to try? I haven't talked with the gyno yet about it, but will at my follow up appointment in a week. With my last laprascopy (for an ectopic pregnancy), I got pregnant the month after. But I'm sure that's not usually recommended..

Well, is your question how soon can you have sex or how soon can you be pregnant? I've heard it's safe to have sex in a week or two, I hadn't thought about how pregnancy might tax your body so soon after surgery but since the incisions are minor and should have healed by the time your belly starts growing (and that's assuming you get pregnant right away) I would think there's no need to wait about trying. That's only my projection though, so definitely talk to your doctor!

I can't remember whether I was told one week or two weeks to abstain from intercourse. Don't know about the wait to become pregnant, though. Let us know what your doc. says...I'm interested, too!

Mine was 2 weeks no sex, but I had a bad recovery so it was more like 4 weeks of no sex for me.

My dr always told me the best time to get pregnant is right after a lap. He just told me to wait for about 2 weeks and then act like bunnies... Good luck to you and hope you feel better..
