hi i have a date for my op, oct 11th, as far as i know im having laser treatment, im abit worried if they tell me its got worse although i know it has as i never had problems going to the toilet or having sex before, but actually being told how bad it is still worries me, my sex drive has completety gone, is there something you can get to help it along at all, my partner is finding it hard to understand why i have no interest in it , it hurts alittle during and alot more after which puts me off but i dont even feel like it, my pain during the day has eased off alot lately but i feel drained at the end of the day, i sleep alot more than i used too, and being off work, i m not really doing much other than abit of light housework, does anybody else feel tired like this, xxx

Hi, Louise. I know exactly how you feel. Before I knew my pain was mostly related to the birth control pills (and not my endometriosis), I found that topical Lidocaine (Xylocaine) Jelly helped TONS!!! It is the same stuff that the dentist uses to numb your mouth, basically. Anyway, it numbs the pain but doesn't prevent orgasm, and it doesn't numb the man, because it is absorbed by the vaginal tissues so quickly. Here in the U.S. the jelly is only available by prescription.
I have also found that olive oil is a great lubricant and natural. My gyne. recommended I use this, and I can say it is the best thing I have found to reduce the pain with sex for me. Even though MOST of my pain was from the pills I was on, I still do have a tiny bit of residual pain with sex, and the olive oil does the trick pretty much every time.
I also understand your fatigue. Hope you feel better!

I definitely understand the fatigue. Our bodies are working overtime and need the extra sleep to try to repair. Today I was awake long enough to eat breakfast and read a couple of chapters of a book. Then I went back to sleep until 5 p.m. Oh well, as long as I'm not ignoring any other responsibilities, I just go ahead and nap away.

louise,
I understand your frusterations too, I take b-vitams they help for energy
as for sex its hard for me to keep up with my husband, my vagina doesnt ever hurt since I had my cervix removed. For me its the cramps after and the pulling I feel from my right ovary that kills it for me
I just take a hot bath or shower to get relaxed and I take a pain pill usually a vicodin or norco then I can enjoy my husband and be more relaxed .
I wish I removed my ovary back when I had my hyst. Its dont nothing but hurt me since I was 18, continously getting a cysts then it pops then another one shows up
Its 2:30 am right now I think fatigue is my middle name I ran out of calcium mag. that was helping me relax and sleep I used 1,500mg plus its good for your bones
I hope you feel better
