I'm going to see my Dr tomorrow and in my chart (the sec. read it to me over the phone...) it said '3 months of bc, if pain has not decreased one week treatment of heparin'.
I did some research on it, found out it's an anticoagulant...anyone ever heard of treating endo like this?

I've never heard of it for endo, either. Do you get big blood clots with your periods? Your doc. might just be trying to thin out the clots??? No idea. Keep us updated when you find out why!!!

I was warned off aspirin because of it's blood thinning properties when I was a very heavy bleeder though, which is why I'm mystified about using it to treat endo... Let us know if it works tess!

Prior to the bcps I did clot... alot. Even with any breakthrough bleeding I experience on the pill, I clot. About a month ago I missed a pill and started bleeding very very heavy... I had a pain in my pelvis and pressure in my cervix area, I thought I was going to die. After about 6 hours I passed an odd looking clot - grey and large.
Odd thing is, I bruise easily and have veins all through my thighs/calves. I'm curious to see what mr. doc says tomorrow.
