Hi, after 2 years of trying alternative methods (diet, vitamins, castor oil, acupuncture, homeopathic remedies, menastil, etc) I can't take the pain any longer so am considering going on Alesse (bc pill) to see if that will provide some relief. I've had a difficult time sticking to the endo diet although I've maintained staying off wheat/gluten and red meat and using as many organic foods as possible and would prefer not going on the pill but need some relief even if for a few months to give my body a rest while continuing alternative methods for support. Anyone know if alternative methods will help to relieve endo and maybe get rid of it, while also using the bc pill? Will alternative health methods be healing to my body while on the pill?

Hi, dutch. Alesse was one of the MANY b.c. pills I was on. Even though it is in the lowest category of estrogen and has a weak progestin, it still messed up my system big time...but everyone is different. I also had breakthrough bleeding on Alesse. I guess the one good thing I can say about my experience w/ Alesse was that I had no weight gain. As far as alternative treatments, you can check out our entire forum on that. No matter what you do, the b.c. pill will still cause cervical crypt death. Here is a link to a thread on that. cjlevett.proboards33.com/index.cgi?action=display&board=infertility&thread=1143958385&page=1
