I was just wondering if all the women here have gotten worse withing the first 2 years with endo. I haven't been diagnosed with endo at 100% yet (my lap is Monday 6 of march) But my gyn says shes 95% sure i have it and maybe for 2 years. I only started to have minimal pain 2 years ago during my period. didn't make anything of it. The school nurse did send me home many time for too much bleeding (had to sleep with my legs higher then my head). I had allot allot allot of energy. some said i was hyperactive only when i had my period. In the last 8 months i got 5 times worse. 8 month ago a started to take midol as my new best friend. 3 month after that went to see the doctor and gave me APO-Naprofen witch worked for 1 month. Then Tylenol 1 codeine. Then he gave me oxycocets (supposedly has morphine). I took that for 2 month but couldn't work because of the buzz. So now i take 2 Tylenol 1 + 1 Advil extra strength for the month and during my period 1-2 Tylenol 3 + Advil extra strength. At this rate I'm gonna be a drug addict in no time and 5 years ago i would get a high on regular Advil. Never took medication then. So does anyone else have pain worsen like this. or am i doomed.

It can get a lot worse really fast. It did that for me, and I've heard of it happening to lots of other people. I've heard of people getting diagnosed with stage 2 (mild) endometriosis and then having another laparoscopy a year later that reveals the disease has already progressed to stage 4 (severe). It's pretty unpredictable. On the upside, it sometimes regresses on its own for no reason at all. That happened to me as well, although it ended up getting worse really fast again, and now it's worse than ever. But at least I got a little bit of relief for a while.

Hello avonp. I am so sorry about the pain you've been in. We can sympathize with you. Look at the bright side, your laproscope is March 6, only 6 days away. You should feel much better after that. It will make a big difference once they get in there. Good luck. Lynette

Well thank girls,
I'm scare of the lap since so many women had pain come back with a vengeance after a wile.
But i hope for the best and i hope to get pregnant after my lap. éMaybe with my diet change the pregnancy and the lap I'm going to be endo free! I keep telling my self that since the mind is a powerful thing you know.
They Say you can talk to your body and help it heal.
I've got nothing to loose! Right!
Just a small question again! How long did you pain reduce for Erzulie? Cuz sometime one month can stay the same as the one before but never more then one month?

My pain was everyday for about 6 months before they did the lap, before that is was 2 weeks a month. I had trouble even talking when the pain was bad but I had to work or lose my job and that wasn't an option. Anyway, since my lap in october I've felt great. I have bad days, but they aren't all that bad they are really just uncomfortable, I find exercise, even though it hurts doing it, helps me feel so much better the rest of the time. Good luck, it will all be fine.

My pain was better for about 3 years. I still had awful cramps, but I quit having pain between periods, and my cramps weren't quite as bad as they used to be. I really thought I was outgrowing the problem. Then the cramps started worsening, and then the pain between periods returned and then got worse than it had ever been before. That's where I am now, even after my laparoscopy. It is my desperate hope that I will someday experience another unexplained recession.

My major endo pains started in June of 2005. Some months have been extremely bad where it would feel like something exploded all of a sudden (perhaps it did), and then my abdominal area would be sore, like my arms or legs after a good workout, for an entire month. Other months I would have regular cramps with my period, then another week and a half of pain in my lower right abdomen (which I figured was some residual pressure from bleeding cysts or endometriomas). I can't say that the pain has gotten increasingly worse. It's very roller coaster-like.
