Hi there. I'm posting from the Uk so am unsure whether the drug names I use will be recognised?
Anyway, I was diagnosed with endo 6 years ago via laparoscpy, and follwing laser treatment put on the pill - Dianette- which I got on fine with for a couple of years. I then - following ovarian drilling for my polycystic ovaries- went on to have 2 children ( for who I am soooo grateful and I know how lucky I am). DD is 3 1/2 and DS is now 1 year old and the endo has finally decided to come back. Had a lap 3 weeks ago and 'moderate' endo lasered. Gynae has put me on the pill- this time Yasmin. Problem is, ever since I've been taking it ( 2 1/2 weeks now), I've been constantly bleeding - not major amounts, but enough to warrant a tampon. I was wondering whether it was just my body getting used to it, but I never had this bleeding on Dianette ( or even Mercilon when I was younger and used birth control pills .....for actual birth control!!!!) I was thinking of haning on until after my 2nd packet finishes but to be honest the thought of this for another 5 weeks is just a nightmare.
Does anyone have similar experiences on this particular pill and any suggestions as to why it is happening and what I should do?
Many thanks
Julie x
ps I should maybe point out that I was offered the Mirena Coil instead of the Pill, but I just could not stomach the thought of it.

Hi, Jooz. Sorry about the breakthrough you're experiencing. As you'll find on several other threads related to this exact issue, breakthrough bleeding is a VERY common thing for quite a number of women w/ endo here on the forum. You're not alone.
Just do a search for breakthrough on here, and you'll find a lot of info.

(Copied from another post on searches. )
The best way I have found to get the best results on a search is to scroll near the bottom of the search page. There, you will find an option that says, "Posted within the last." You can type the amount of time back you'd like to search. I usually type in 365 days. The next option down from that allows you to choose how many responses per search you want shown. I think it defaults to 10. Hope that helps
