is normal?
I've been on Ortho-Cyclen 28 for about two months now, and last Sunday I started bleeding, even though it wasn't the placebo week.
The bleeding didn't stop, it's still happening, along with the expected period as this is the placebo week.
How much is normal? Will the bleeding continue after the pills begin again?
Does birth control really help with endo?

Hello, madbibliophile. What you are experiencing is more common than you think it might be. I have experienced that on ortho-cyclen 28 as well as about 9 other pills, including the patch. My current gynecologist finally told me that to get the bleeding stopped, I need more estrogen, so he told me I can double-up on the pills for up to a week. I didn't like doing that a whole lot, but at some points I had no other choice. One time on the patch, I bled for a month and a half straight...no placebos! I finally realized that I was bleeding more on the pill than off of the pill. I'm not telling you to double-up your pill, as that is something you'll have to chat w/ to your doctor. You might try talking to the doc. about switching to a pill w/ a higher progestin/estrogen. He'll know more about it. Good luck w/ the bleeding. I know that can be such a pain in the rear!!! Welcome to the forum, by the way ~ouchy
