-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- IF it works... i'll be on it until it stops working or until they remove all my parts... i'm hoping for the best here.. i've tried everything else and it all stops working.. that is of course if it starts working in the first place. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- It was found just about everywhere. They removed the ligament in the last one. And burned and cut it off all 3x, including the scar tissue build up. I also get endometriomas, which really suck when they burst. I still have it on my blood vessel that runs through there and on my ureter which makes me pee like all the time. Link to Post - Back to Top 66.216.159.130

well see how you go on the synarel... it works for me but you hace to be positive about it too, so try not to think about how it might not work cause everything else hasnt. my endo was very bad and the surgery reflected that and my first period after the op had me in the ER with the pain it was terrible. After that i started on synarel and i have been period free since and its such a relief as i can now deal with my bowel pain on a stand alone basis.
give it time to kick in, speak to ur gynae about some low dose HRT if the symptoms are too bad for you. you need to make sure you communicate with him as he is the only one that can help.

When you went on it, did you have trouble sleeping? I just don't sleep anymore then 1-2 horus a night and its killing. My sleeping pills don't even work anymore... If you did experience that how long did it last? and what did you do to help it?? Thank you so much for answering all my questions!

Taking synarel didnt affect my sleep. i was going through a really hard time at that stage as i was on it after having major surgery for my endo which resulted in a so much happening than i could have ever imagined! synarel for me was no where near as bad as i thought it would be. i did have breakthrough bleeding which was rectified by taking premarin for about a week i think under the guidance of my gynae. the hot flushes were ever present as were some painful headaches. i found drinking lots of water really helped but the HRT hleped much more. hang in there it gets better i promise speak to your gyane about the HRT if you are struggling, i started on that 3 months into my treatment. keep asking questions and ill try my best to tell you how i felt with it. ive been on it for 12 months now or thereabouts, make sure you get some good calcium tablets, i take fish oil too as my short term memory is kinda fading. it has bought me much relief so hopefully it does the same for you.

So I went to my doc yesterday, no add back for me... she wants to keep me off it until at least Aug (when I have another lap and get cleaned up again). I told her how I don't sleep more then a couple hours a night even with OTC sleeping pills. So she gave me Lunesta, which didn't really work either. She said it would take 15-20 mins and I would fall asleep.. well I took it abd 5 hours later I was still laying there awake.. ugh. She also put me on something to help me lose this swollen preggo belly that doesn't go away anymore.. and for the HORRIBLE acne that I suddenly developed from the med. Any of this sound familiar? I was told this is almost the same as Lupron, which I did not respond to like most meds, but I didn't have these issues. The hot flashes and night sweats I can handle, but the never sleeping is getting old. Not to mention that fact that it has not yet really kicked in yet and the pain is bad... Thanks again for listening and for your responses.

i have never really expereicned those from the synarel. i have spoken to a few people that have been on it as well and they like me havnt really experienced anything dramatic from it. i got some pimples but definitley wasnt acne. the hot flushes as i said were present but nothing that i couldnt deal with. ive read about lupron on here and cant even compare the two really, but thats my experience. ive been on it alot longer than you too and ill get my annual bone density scan next month to see if its affected my bones. fingers crossed it hasnt as i dont want to come off this anytime soon!

I have been on synarel for 20months now i think (memory is bad its a struggles to try and recall things). My memory is ridiculously bad now, i have had 2 bone density tests which showed minimal bone loss. I have this constnat fuzz behind my eyes which i have to try and push away so i dont burst into tears. Im really worried about the effects being on it for so long has caused, everything i have read says they havent conducted tests post 6 months which worries me.
Anyway im trying to call my gynae to make an appt to tell him that I WILL be coming off it next month and i will need alternative medication. Im so lost as to what i can do i will be extremely sad shoudl my endo reoccur. im also worried as to what to expect with the pain coming off the synarel.
anway i just have all these thoughts going 100 miles through my head. im at work and need to stop thinking about it as its getting me worked up and inoone knows about my health issues here.

Sounds like you are going through a really rough patch Cass, i hope you and your gnyae come up with a plan that will stop you from worrying as much. It is a horrible feeling knowing that you are going to be in pain, i guess all i can recommend is to be prepared for it (as much as you can) with pain killers and a heat bag, and anything else that you know helps you. My only other suggestion is, could you take a break from synarel and then go back on it after awhile? Because it sounds like your symptoms have gotten worse the longer you're on it, so if you take a break and flush it all out of your system (say 6 months) then try going back on it?
(I don't know much about how synarel works though, so this is just a thought)

He doesnt know why i am going to see him so it will be interesting to see his response when i ask for his thoughts of stopping the meds with no plans for TTC in the forseeable future!
