Hi,
I take codeine nearly every day and I have not had a problem with it. They do say that it can make you constipated, but it hasnt done it to me at all.
The only thing with codeine for me is, that it you get a nice euphoric feeling not long after taking them, but they dont seem to last that long painkiller-wise.
I take a mix of Codeine, Paradex and brufen. Works OK, but I still get break thru pain.

I have been on Percocet 10mg and 8 tablets a day for my pain and well it helps but some weeks , as i have pain every day ) it works but when i find out what is wrong with me , we al have to go trough the withdrawls from these meds I am not looking forward to that part of it, but have to find out thats wroug first I am so upset and feel like a junky been on those meds and tried to cut back but my pain is so bad i can't right now until i meet a doctor who will help and hope in April 6th this specialist will help once and for all Every test and bloot test always come back as normal but retroverted uterus and cysts on my overiy But we need the pain killers to be able to go on with our day some what any way I tried all the over the counter tablets and they dont work for me , Percocet 10/325 is all that helps , gets the pain from a 10 to a 5 pain scale so i can work and move during the day

Posted by member camille in another thread I just read in another thread about codeine and its constipating effects... I have been on tylenol-3 since my surgery - low doses and I'm not constipated but maybe this has something to do with my pain?? But what causes the pain? He said he removed all the endo from my intestines!? Why should this hurt? That thread also mentioned pelvic congestion, but shouldn't that have been diagnosed with one of my laps? If this belongs in another thread, please put it where you think it belongs...my head is so cloudy these days...
