Ok so the gynae consultant I was with informed me, with no opportunity to discuss or explain what had happened with my treatment... that my endo is gone, I don't have adhesions as he previously said but spots of endo that my injections of hormone treament will have gotten rid of. He even said cured until he realised how stupid he sounded, and tried to backtrack!
Although I pointed out that the pain was worse and spreading, he refused point blank to discuss it, then suggested it was IBS even though I insisted that except for round my periods, my bowel etc are very healthy, not full of wind or any of the other awful stuff IBS sufferers deal with.
He ignored what I said about my bladder too, which has for months felt for the most part like its being squeezed or punched or pulled.
Has anyone experienced chronic abdominal pain which has no apparent cause, and has been 'confirmed' as not endo pain?
The nice new doctor at my surgery has started me on IBS treatment so it can be ruled out, and has said apart from the pain my bladder seems healthy enough... but he is sending me for an ultrasound scan and urine testing to rule out UTIs and kidney disease.
Then he'll send me back to gynae if it's nothing else.
Is it unreasonable to ask for another lap when I had one in feb?
I am worried that if it's not endo, what on Earth could be hurting me to the point of making me cry, and why is the pain taking over my lower body?
6 months ago or so the pain was in the lower left (by my bowel apparently) and upper right (under my rib cage) and sometimes my bladder too which was agony.
Now the pain is constantly in my lower left, sometimes on the right and most days I get some pain around my bladder, when its full, or going to the toilet or just randomly. And like right now it's everywhere at once in my abdomen, and my left hip is affected too so it hurts even more to walk and stretch. So my little TeNS doesn't do much except control the stabbing pains in the middle and I have to take Voltarol to control the whole area of pain (strong NSAID painkiller)
How do you explain to someone who looks at you like they've heard it all before, that at best you feel like you have a bad stich on your left, then at the worst of times on top of the aching and 'stitch' pain EVERYWHERE you have stabbing pains that seem to 'echo' around your tummy?
In a twisted way I hope it's endo, so there's not more stuff to deal with. It sounds so bad but I'm being truthful, a lot of stuff caused by one root problem seems easiest to cope with in the long term!
Also I got the dirtiest look off the consultant gynae when I refused to have any further hormonal treatment... maybe he should try turning into a freak for 7 months before he doles out the mini-menopause injections so freely!
