for the past 4 days i have felt like i have a UTI for sure. my bladder hurts, i don't even have to push on it, and it stings a bit when i pee. not too horrible, but i noticed this has happened a handful of times in the past year, and i have gone to get tested and treated for what obviously seemed like a UTI, bu tthe cultures came back negative. does that mean i have endo on my bladder, causing this from time to time? it hangs around a week maybe two sometimes, and fades away until next time.
i never gave it a second thought, cause it would vanish, however now iam wondering, if this is a symptom, and it's on my bladder, how bad a case MIGHT i have?? the thought scares me soooo freakin much, that is why iam petrified to have a lap. it so scares me!
anyone have this happen or know anything about it?
hugs, michelle

YUP!!!!! Exact symptoms here (though more so when on birth control pills for me). I was even given antibiotics...and each time the UA was negative!!! My first sign I was going to start my period was even bleeding when I would urinate! I had a scope of my bladder that didn't show anything abnormal, and my gyne. didn't find any endo on the outside of my bladder during each of my two laps; however, he said that the implants could be so tiny that they would only be visible during a lap during my period. Hummm. OH!!!! One member on here actually had bladder resegmentation for endo on the bladder!!!! Here is a link to her thread. I'm sure you'll find it most helpful! cjlevett.proboards33.com/index.cgi?board=surgery&action=display&thread=1161022181

hi ouchy. i have never been on B/C, i have just noticed this UTI thing for the past well since i had my baby, actually 1 time prior to having my baby, because i remember thinking i had a UTI at the very beginning of pregnancy which is common, they gave me meds, and then the culture turned out negative. i don't remember if it happened again during the pregnancy, but afterwards yes. i hear symptoms can come out of the closet, so to speak, and become more fierce after childbirth, i just thought it might be my body re-adjusting after the big event, though with the kids i had in my past relationship, i noticed periods if anything were better post partum, this time, worse, and worse, and now iam on CD 10 with period like pain, and UTI pain. i bought some AZO. now...if it is endo, will the pain NOT go away from the azo? i guess it's an experiemnt on my part.
thanks, i'll check out that thread.
hugs, michelle

now iam on CD 10 with period like pain, and UTI pain. i bought some AZO. now...if it is endo, will the pain NOT go away from the azo? i guess it's an experiemnt on my part. I actually would find a little relief from the AZO, but the pain would always come back. I would take AZO and AZO and AZO...until my urine was so orange I thought I owned a pumpkin patch (HAHA!). Nah, but I took SOOO much. It was crazy. Since you used "CD" as in "CD10," are you charting your cycles? If you are, watch to see if your symptoms get worse as you approach ovulation. Also, have you asked your doctor about interstitial cystitis (spelling?)? If you want to learn more about it, try doing a search on the boards. I believe there are a couple threads on it. It has very similar symptoms ...and negative cultures!!!

hi ouchy. yes...i chart and keep track of my cycles, and symptoms. the period like cramps become worse towards ovulation, though i used to have no clue when i was ovulated, cause i had no pain or clues that i noticed, then i started to get pains the day before, and now it's like a week before, and the window keeps spreading, to less 'normal' days per month. i haven't had a normal one at all this time.
you are right, there was some relief from the azo, but it does feel like it may come back, now that i have stopped. weird! i also get back pains with my cramps during ovulation and during my period. i had an accident several years ago, and i never know if that worsens it, or if it's a true symptom, but i got it.
this bladder thing iam just starting to realize some signifigance now. when i would get tested and the culture come back negative, i would be like 'oh..ok', and it would end up going away, i never put it together with a possible illness to recently, so i will bring that disease up to my dr. i have recently heard some mention of it, thank you. i don't know if that would cause the menstral pains to, or if iam lucky enough to have both *sigh*
i feel nauseous today and i should be ovulating soon. my opks are getting darker. they usually do.
thanks michelle
