So I go see another specailist for a second opinion on tues morning. My last gyno prescribed me Lupron after telling me that my endo was 'too widespread and too far gone to operate on'.
Im curious, Ive never heard of this, has anyone else been told that? He is an older fellow, maybe he's not comfortable with doing laps?
Is it within my rights as a patient (in canada) to ask for a lap to be done? After my last one I was able to at least cope with my periods for about a year.
Any help or ideas/opinions would be greatly appreciated ;D

Is there anyone on these boards from Canada?
Update: This doctor agreed that I need another Lap, he's going to schedule me for Feb sometime. He's also sending me to a urologist to see if we can find out if my bladder is affected as well. -Melissa

Some doctors will say that, but there's no reason why they can't operate on it. Even if your doctor isn't a specialist and doesn't know how to remove all of it, he should be able to get at least some. Every bit makes a difference!

Hi Melissa! I'm in Canada too - and I just want to let you know that it is totally within your right to request a lap to be done. We are so lucky to have so many different ways that they can remove the endo. I'm glad to hear that you've gotten your appointment! I am going Jan 30th to request another lap be done myself. I've already had 3 (not all being requested by me), but its been about 4 years since I've had it and I really believe its time. Question for you, do you know if they can perform the 'ink test' by request?
