yes, but endometriosis showing up on an ultrasound or mri is very rare. even on the rare chance that an ultrasound or mri picks it up, more is needed to confirm, such as through direct observation with laparoscopy . . . My doctor would not 100% confirm that I have endometriosis without doing the laparoscopy. She said you just can't know for sure unless you see it. My MRI showed nothing; my ultrasound showed cysts and clogged tubes, but the doc said it could be endo -- or, cancer! (Nevertheless, they're not chopping into me!)

Yep. That is why it is scary to think of how many women go on Lupron without definitively knowing if what they have is endo!
