I need some advice. I need to know how to properly go after my GI doctor?? I don't want to do it in an angry way but I need to know where those bloody spots on my colon where and I really need a video or pictures of them too but I don't know if that's possible. I need to politely tell them they were F*cking morons and sent me the wrong information as my letter from them said they saw nothing and the colon was normal. Its not as we viewed it together and then discussed it with the GI doctor afterwards. How do I challenge the letter and get him to send a new report? Please if anyone has any ideas I would love to hear them??

I had to do something similar with one of my old doctors. I asked for all of my records. When the doctor did not want to give me a surgical report and pictures, I asked to talk to the clinic manager. After talking (very sternly) to the clinic manager, I was able to get what I needed to give to Dr. M. I don't know what type of set up your GI doctor has, so I don't know if you have a clinic manager to talk to.
Sometimes, the doctors are more willing to send information directly to another doctor. Ask the front desk to give everything to Dr. M or your PCP, and then get copies from her office. My PCP asked for everything from another doctor I went to and asked for all the pictures and sent it to Dr. M and later gave me copies.
The hospital where the procedure was done should also have the records, so you can try asking them for a copy. I'm able to get copies of my ct scans and ultrasounds on DVD from the hospital.
Good Luck! Great Grad pic!
