Hello everyone, I am a 25 year old mother, with two great kids...but after my second, that is when the pain started. At first, I just thought it was something that would just pass on by but, it has been two years. Luckily my husband finally got a good job that has wonderful insurance and I was able to start getting my pain looked at.The first doctor I went to was helpful, he put me on birth control to see if that would help for two months and some pain killers for when the pain happened. Well for those two months, everything but making love was fine, that still hurt way way too much. At the end of month two, I suddenly had a Shot of pain that made me fall to my knees and throw up it was so sudden and so painful. I ended up going to the emergency room and getting a bit stronger pain killers. It's horrible getting anaphylaxis from opiouds ( Morphine, Codeine, anything opioid based). To make a long story shorter, I bled for a month straight...and finally told my doctor I wanted the surgery to figure out what is going on. The reason I was pushing it, was, my sister has endometriosis. Everything I told her, she had the same, if not a little less then myself. Finally, day of the surgery gets here, but it is being done by a different doctor as mine had to go out of town on an emergency family thing, I understand. This doctor, the new one, I will NEVER go back to and I am NOT paying for. Here is the story.
I go in, early morning, 8 am, for my surgery. I lay around, waiting, signing papers, ect ect. Finally, 1030am they roll me to surgery, and the Doctor comes in as they are putting me under. Great...Time passes and I wake up in recovery, and go back to my mom. There are pictures of my insides laying on a table, but no sign of the doctor...In fact we don't hear from him for 2 hours...and then its a simple phone call to say everything was fine, maybe some varicose veins on something or rather...but my appendix looks fine. I DON'T HAVE ONE. It was removed in 2001.
2 weeks later, I go for my check up. He's not there. So, I have to talk to his PA. I Show him the pictures and he goes, "Wow...I don't know why he would say everything is fine. All this *Points to a ton of things on the pictures* Is inflamed. This looks like scarring, and this right here, looks like endometriosis."
Great, just freaking great. So, I get the surgical report, and Read in his (The stupid Doctor) OWN handwriting about my appendectomy. And it was on another page. Then, I read the findings, everything looks fine...Appendix was visualized and without issues...
At this point...I'm very upset. But...I take a breathe... and find this site to see if they have anyone near me that is better qualified to deal with my "Everything is fine" Findings vs "Everything is inflamed, endometriosis." I have an appointment on the 2 of July to see Dr. Jeff Arrington. Fingers crossed....
Thanks for taking the time in reading my story...I'm hoping for a happy ending...and maybe a lawsuit with lots of money!!
