Hi I'm just curious if these recent symptoms I have been having could mean that the endo is progressing.
New symptoms during my period. Increased cramping (more severe then it used to be). Pain during urination, Crippling pain during a bowel movement ( more intense then it used to be).
I have also been experiencing endo symptoms when I am not having my period. Pain after sex (have never had that before now) and intense pain during a bowel movement.
Any info would be great.
Thanks Rin

There are a couple threads about "I Hate that Sex Hurts!" etc. I'd post links, but I'm on a rather crappy internet connection at the moment, or I'd post a few. Just do some browsing/searching.

Hello everyone. On the first post I wrote I asked for some help on if my endo was progressing. Well I have gotten worse. I first got my period when I was 12 and have always had pain during my period. Doctors wrote it off as normal cramps. Now that I am older I know better. When I was about 20 during a routine physical I brought up the menstrual pain I have been having. My family doctor said that it sounded like endo and sent me to a OB/GYN. The OB/GYN said that I sounded like endo to him and he told me that the only way to be sure is to do a lap. He never said that I should have one done. He gave me a prescription for naproxen(which did nothing for me.) and he told me to change the way I take my birth control pills so I only have a period once every three months. At the time It was good enough for me, surgery scared me and only having a period once every 3 months sounded great to me. I only I knew then What i know now! Since I have found this web site and joined the message board I had no idea how ignorant about endo I was. All of the info I and found here no Doctor has ever told me. I have never had a lap and for all I know I may not even have endo ( highly unlikely in my opinion because of my symptoms and pain.) I am kicking myself because if I knew then what I know now I would have demanded a lap. Now almost 7 years later my pain and symptoms are worse. The pain I used to have only during my period I now have 24 hours a days and 7 days a week. I can only imagine what the state of my insides could look like having been left for so long. I had no idea how devastating endo could be. Hearing everyones else's stories and symptoms has really opened my eyes about this disease and I would like to thank each and everyone one of you for educating me when doctors couldn't be bothered to. All of you all truly fantastic and I feel so lucky that I found this message board ( thank you google . . I have a appointment with an OB/GYN on march 7 ( a different one then the last one I saw!), and I am going to push for a lap. I just want a for sure answer yes or no, I have it or I don't. Thanks again!! ;D Rin
