I can totally relate to all the frustrations you are feeling... especially when it comes to finding someone who will listen. I can't imagine living with both the endo pain and chrones pain. My thoughts are with you in hoping that you have finally found someone that is willing to take you seriously... especially with the medical history in your family!

I can relate to you completely. I am in pain 24 hours a day 7 days a week. It is really wearing me down. It sucks for lack of a better way to describe it!

I CAN'T WAIT TILL ITS OVER!!!! Even if its just for a short time after my surgery!!! I hate not being able to 'turn off' my awareness to all the pains. I was laying in bed this morning thinking 'yep, its here, here and here today....' and then thought about all the things I WON'T be doing today because of it. Mind you I am really excited to do some homework on yoga! I really want to try that!

Hi all,
Just wanted to chime in here. This is how I know (oh, and here my DISCLAMER...THIS IS ONLY MY HUMBLE OPINION AS I'M NOT A DOCTOR) when I need another lap.
When the BAD days of pain in the month outnumber the good days. Before my last lap. I have NO DAYS that I felt fine. I had pain 100% of the time!

Thats where I am at now... 100% pain all the time, everyday. I am really counting down the days!

Yep, same 100% of the time in pain.
It varies in severity though, its not always bad, just always there.

I do find that the pain is way worse during my period... but I remember times when I had good days where I wasn't uncomfortable at all! Those days seem so far away now... I hope I can have atleast some of that back after my operation!

YES YES!!! That's when it gets so bad one has to do something! Angelas hon...you'll get those good days back. I know you will.
I ALWAYS got some relief after surgery... I know it is sometimes SO hard to be positive, but my gosh...after six laps...I got to be:)))

Hey doll! I know what you mean! I'm going on lap number 4... its just been a long while since my last lap, and I know I wasn't in near as much pain before that one as I am now, but any relief will be good relief!! I just hope it stays away for more then a few weeks! HA!

My pain is weird... like Kb, I do have pain ALL the time... but it really varies in severity. I can always feel it... I am always concious that something is there... Right now it doesn't really feel that bad at all. But I feel something there. It's hard to explain. Other times (especially when standing for long periods of time and before my period) I get this pain that sometimes feels like jalepenos are being rubbed on my insides and other times it's more severe and can be described like someone has ground my insides with sandpaper AND THEN rubbed the jalepenos on the inside. Durring my period I get these quick sharp intense pains around my vaginal opening and I always have SEVERE lower back pain when I have the jalepeno pain (lol). But my periods aren't horrible at all or heavy (or maybe they are, i've just been on BC for so long!). The pain is manageable... A hot bath always helps a little... but I have my first lap in 12 DAYS!!! I am so OCD and I have to KNOW what it is! It drives me NUTS not knowing! Sometimes I am not sure of whether it's endo... but there is always this constant pain in one particular area. It never moves. It's always there... I can draw a circle around where the pain is. That is why my doctor is 60% he will find something in the lap... he says it's got to be something. My worst fear is going through the surgery and having them tell me they can't find anything. For two years I have searched for what this could be. No one believed me and thought it was in my head. They have told me this for so long that sometimes I wonder if it is in my head... I dont know...

Hey Nikki - don't think that its all in your head. I too spent 2 years waiting for them to finally agree with me, and when the finally agreed to do my first lap it was there! Your body is definitley telling you something is wrong, and that kind of pain (jalapenos and all!) is not something you could just imagine! Sounds like you'll be going in about the same time as me! I have my surgery on the 20th! I wish you all the best of luck, and keep us posted on what they do find! Knowing is always half the battle! : )

hehe yeah mine is on the 24th! We can be pain buddies online! lol... because I know I am going to be soooo bored having the time off to heal from the surgery! I have 2 jobs--one working with 150+ kids at the boys and girls club, and the other I work for the school district tutoring 7th grade.... plus I go to college and live on my own... and im 18! So having a week off to do nothing is going to be a TREMENDOUS change for me... so basically I will be online alot. You'll have to definately let us know how your surgey went. you can prep me for mine! Yikes! Love and Goodluck!

( Thats alot like me, cant say it feels like jalapenos, but yeah its the same thing, conscious something is there. I can ignore and forget about it sometimes but its always there. Most days the pain really is mild most of the time, with bouts of it being severe. Have wondered if the constant pain is more a residual pain from the severe pain, u know a kind of ache left there. But even when its not bad its wearing, seems to take alot out of me even if i can ignore the pain it seems my body cant and i get very very tired.

Ya I have that problem too! I find that the exaustion I feel is due to the constant pain that I'm in. Not sleeping doesn't help that either!! But now the countdown is on! 5 MORE SLEEPS!!
Nikki - I will totally be your online buddy!! I've spent so much time on here since I've been off work for 2 months!! I'm still looking forward to my recovery time though, just cause I know a huge weight will be lifted off me, and thats when I'll catch up on my sleep! Take care for now!!Good luck to you as well!
