Hello everyone.
I have not posted in awhile. I am just dealing will too many health issues. I do have a question though; I am currently being treated for a UTI and am kind of getting that ick feeling down below. I am hoping it is not a yeast infection. I already take high doses of probiotics daily so I am hoping it helps. My question is, what other oral meds can be used besided diflucan?? I cannot take diflucan due to side effects I had from it. I do not like to use the creams as they irritate me down there and I think it just sets things up for maybe getting BV when putting any chemicals in there. Is diflucan the only oral drug out there for treating vaginal yeast issues??? Thanks in advance for any suggestions....

I've inserted probiotics to fend off a yeast infection. others have used yogurt soaked tampons (plain, no sugar) to fend them off. Yeast infections don't necessarily need to be treated with drugs; they just need the right amount of good bacteria. I think we have some more threads on this specifically. Hope that helps!

Thanks for the reply Karen. Is there a certain probitoic that you use, a certain brand?? I hate using the cream medications they have. I have heard that women then get in a viscious cycle where they treat the yeast, then get BV then more bladder infections etc... a nightmare. I like the idea of using the probitoics. Just curious which brand and what kind you put up there? ?
