Just got back from the hospital about an hour ago, confirmed diagnosis of Endometriosis, stage 2 or 3, and my bowel had adhered to my uterus. Very sore, but the doctor thinks he got it all, and freed my bowel. I am relieved. Thank you Endo Resolved for being there through this, I've learned a lot and I appreciate the support

I agree... relieved you have answers, but it still sucks. Take it easy while you recover!

I am relieved. I no longer feel crazy, like it's all in my head, that I was a wimp in September when I missed all those days of work. I'm glad it has a name, I am hopeful that I will soon be feeling like myself again.
Also, my doc thinks my prognosis is likely pretty good. I find out at follow-up if it was stage 2 or 3, if it's a 3 I will have some ongoing issues. However, at least now I know what it is, and I have a diagnosis which is huge.
I'm also more than a bit angry at my first gynecologist. I working on a letter detailing my experiences and outcome in the hopes that her, nor no one else in her practice will treat another woman with endometriosis the way they treated me.
I am so thankful for my primary care, gynecologist, my partner and my job who have taken me seriously and have all played vital roles in getting me better.
The fact that my bowel had scar tissue connecting it to my uterus was MIND BLOWING. It explained SO much of my pain, digestive issues and everything else.
