The antioxidant power of resveratrol and other flavonoids in red grapes destroys free radicals, reduces tissue damage and aging, stimulates immunity, reduces the risk of cardiovascular diseases along with some types of cancers like breast, prostate & colon. Generally, the darker the skin color of the grape, the more resveratrol it contains. Red grapes also contain melatonin, a hormone that regulates sleep cycles and influences many other hormones. Cold and Flu Season is coming, so you may want to start stocking up and eating a variety of these items regularly to avoid getting sick. Adding more fruit and vegetables will improve your health and build your immune system. These foods are higher in antioxidants than others, with the 3 major antioxidant vitamins being beta-carotene, vitamin C, and vitamin E. Add Lifeway Kefir (because of it's probiotics) to this list too if you'd like! Attachments:

Leafy vegetables are ideal for weight management as they are typically low in calories. They reduce the risk of cancer and heart disease, they are low in fat, high in dietary fiber, and rich in vitamins and minerals, as well as containing a host antioxidants. This graph breaks down the benefits of some popular greens, helping you choose which is best for your next meal or salad! Vitamin A: Also called retinol, helps keep your eyes, skin and mucous membranes moist. It mostly comes from animal foods, but some plant-based foods supply beta-carotene, which your body then converts into Vitamin A. It also has antioxidant properties that neutralize free radicals in the body that cause tissue and cellular damage. Vitamin C: Also known as ascorbic acid, helps heal wounds, prevent cell damage, promote healthy gums and teeth, and strengthen the immune system. It also helps the body absorb iron. It delays aging and helps with disease prevention by destroying free radicals. Vitamin K: Is necessary for blood clotting. Without it, even a small cut would cause continuous bleeding in the body. It also plays an important role in kidney function and bone growth and repair and helps prevent osteoporosis. Folate: Helps your body make new cells, keep your blood healthy, and keeps you from getting anemia, meaning you have fewer healthy red blood cells than normal. It can also help prevent cancers, Alzheimer’s disease, and hearing loss as you age. Iron: Helps proper growth of the body and maintains robust health. It is an essential protein component for metabolism, and it produces red blood cells. Iron deficiency may often cause severe fatigue, body weakness & related health ailments. Attachments:

This little article was interesting. I didn't know there was such a thing as "fake" honey. Some companies will add molasses, starch, and flower to add fillers to the honey and make more of a profit. How disgusting!! Attachments:

Honey is amazing and if you have allergies, buying local honey can reduce your allergies during allergy season! I buy mine from a local honey farmer and its also unpasteurized which means it hasn't had the "good" bugs cooked out of it
