I really have no idea how I was functioning before. The last month, I really wasn't. I kept thinking I'd had surgery for endo, but in reality, I hadn't. I'd just had my adhesions cut apart, and no endo cut out. I think I need to give more credit to the acupuncture for keeping me moderately functioning this past year, though. I kept being frustrated that it wasn't doing more and that between that and the diet I was still in so much pain. But at least I see why now. Kind of ridiculous.
Semi, I was told no sex for 6 weeks, so that seems about right. At the moment, the thought of having anything in my vagina makes me cringe, but I assume that will change. Poor husband.

I'm back at work today (physically in the office) for the first time and it's really funny because people who don't know why I was out are saying things like "Were you on vacation? You look so good!". So I must actually look better, in addition to feeling better.

I had repair on my Vagina, six or more weeks is a little more accurate. And when the time comes, you go very slow, with LOTS of lube. (just a warning) I was so freaked out by having sex after that even though it was fine it took another month before I could relax enough to enjoy it.

I'm so happy for you Kristen!

I love this board. Thanks, Omak, for the sex advice. I admit, I'm a bit frightened of trying, even in another month. Normally I'm just straight up horny, so this is a new feeling.
I am also EXHAUSTED today. Back at work in the office this week, and I have one of my project leaders from Moldova here for training, so hectic schedule. And I'm quitting my job in two weeks!!

You're quitting???
Is there any chance you can do less hours or something? You had such a major surgery and I'd hate to see you take a step backward after the amazing recovery you've been having.

Hey Rust,
Just catching up on all your latest news today and wow, I am so sorry you had so much endo and have been suffering for so long! But, I am also glad that you're doing better and seem to be recovering nicely. I had that post surgery exhaustion for a month to a month and a half or so after my surgery. I've heard many others say the anesthesia stays with you for a while, and it just takes time to get over everything. Plus, it takes a lot of energy for your body to heal, I would think that would especially be so in your case since you had such extensive work done. Hang in there girly, and again so glad you're feeling better ;D

Hi Rust, I'm glad you have finally gotten the relief you were seeking. I was shocked reading how much they removed! Crazy! Hang in there, day by day you're healing....

Thanks you all. I actually went home from work today at 4 and slept for several hours. I was as pale as a ghost! I start my new job nov 5 but was reminded today how extensive the surgery was. My body just put itself to sleep.

Good. That's what your body is supposed to do! Take it easy!
And glad to hear others are noticing a difference in you. I can always gauge my progress so much more when people mention they see a difference. Sometimes it seems so gradual or not as noticeable!

I still can't believe you're back to work already! Get as much sleep as your body needs, maybe even at work under your desk. What are they going to do, fire you?

I know...I thought about the firing...but I can't really leave my poor projects in the lurch, and have to work on the transition of my projects to new management...it's a mess.
I started my period today though. The pain is actually making me sweat.

So...one of my scars seems to have gotten infected the last few days. It was fine until yesterday, then I noticed I couldn't tolerate wearing pants (it's a low incision right over the pubic hair line.) so I looked down and it had gotten pink all around, about a half dollar size of pink skin, and was hurting more. And then today this all continued--becoming more painful. And after i got out of the shower about a half hour ago and was drying off, it started spurting white/yellow pus, about a teaspoon worth! It then became clear and stopped. But it is still sore and red and has a hard raised lump under the scar about the size of a nickel. I guess I need to see a doctor? I have no time! Just so frustrated and a bit scared. Do you all think I can go to my PCP or do I need to figure out how to get out to my surgeon?

I'd say call both and see who you can get into see first (also, make sure your PCP is comfortable with that. He/she might prefer you to see Dr. b). Do they have an after hours call system? My first choice would be the surgeon. It may be infected but if you treat it early it's usually not too bad. Do you have a fever?
