Hi,
I'm new, just had lap and was diagnosed with Stage 3 Endo, plus I had an endometrioma removed. I'm 40, have two children and had no conception issues, and have only experienced pain the last 6 months or so. I realize I am very fortunate.
My gyn wanted to put me on Lupron immediately, even ordered it for me before my followup appt, which I had yesterday. I said not yet to the Lupron and likely will never be OK with it (but I'd love to hear positive stories if they exist). I can't understand jumping into that when my pain history is relatively short and we haven't tried anything else yet, but maybe there's logic to making Lupron first line ...
I asked for COC and he put me on Seasonale. The pharmacy gave me the generic "Julessa" (or something like that). I've compared ingredients, active and inactive, and they match. However I read that people have issues with the generic.
My question's triplefold, then: (1) What do I need to expect with Seasonale, (2) Should I demand the brand name, and (3) Have any of you taken it without taking the placebo pills, and if so, how did that work and for how long did you do it? My gyn did not offer this as an option, but it seems it would quiet the endo if I skipped the placebos. I don't understand why he didn't mention this idea.
Thank you in advance! Very happy to find this site and excited to get my cookbook -- anything natural that will work is so much better!! I'm already eliminating the wheat and soy as much as I can.
