Hey, girls.
I've got a question.
I've noticed recently that after I exercise I will spot/bleed. Usually it's bright red. Only a little bit of spotting or only noticeable upon wiping and will last a couple of days or so.
I don't remember this happening before I had my laparoscopy and finding out I had endo (that was almost a year ago). But now that I am on BC, I am wondering if it's caused by BC... or if it really is due to endo?
I read somewhere it could be due to progressing endo. :-(
But I also read that a drop-off of estrogen can cause vaginal bleeding... and since I am taking a progestin-only BC (and probably have a low level of estrogen because of it?) maybe that is why I have been experiencing spotting after exercise. Just an idea. I have no idea really. lol
So I wanted to know if anyone else here has spotting after exercise or strenuous exercise? I'm just wondering if it is due to endo or something else... maybe like BC.
My gyno told me not to stop exercising even though I have endo and a small endometrioma.
Thanks!

I am sorry to hear that you have this problem. It is supposedly normal for endo. I have had this problem. I started out with mild cramping after running, which turned into moderate cramping with spotting, which turned into severe cramping with bleeding that lasted days... I have heard that exercising supposedly soothes cramping and is good for endo. But, I can't exercise anymore because it is just too painful and I end up stumbling home, heaving in the bushes. It probably could have something to do with the BCPs... You should talk to your gyno about it, just to be sure it isn't anything serious. Good luck!
