Hi ladies! I wasn't really sure where to post this...
I had my 2nd lap (in just under 2 years) on Feb 1st. I just wanted to see if anyone out there had similar findings. I was having some very severe bowel pains and knew that something must have been affecting my bowels. During the surgery, my surgeon found that my bowels had moved up higher than they should be and had attached to my fallopian tube!! Also a portion of the fat tissue from my abdomen had attached itself all the way to my groin, causing what appeared to be the starting of a hernia. Has anyone had a similar experience?? Thanks! Pain is a lot less now but still not 100%.

Hi,
I had something simialr. When I went for my first surgery 11 years ago my Dr after surgery explained to my husband that he had to lower my bowel. I have never had pain but he did it and never had a problem since.
I hope you feel better soon

I'm feeling better but I still have pain before bowel movements I just saw him a little over a week ago for my 6 week check up and he told me to let him know if the pain comes back to were I couldn't work or was in a lot of pain (bowel & bladder pains). They also found an ovarian cyst that had another ovarian cyst inside of it. Strange! I was relieved that he found all that because he had told me that he didn't think it was possible for anything to be wrong since I'd had surgery a year and a half ago. Just goes to show you that you should ALWAYS listen to your body...you know it best! Even my husband was a bit worried about me going in for a lap since the doc didn't think he'd find anything. They've both learned to listen to me now LOL How have you been Jenaya?

Ugh, I'm sorry you had so many issues! Was it mostly adhesions, or active endo that they found?
Whatever the case, I'm glad you listened to your body and pushed for some action.

I definitely had a bowel traffic jam- my ovary was stuck to my colon and caused a stricture (I had a colon resection, hence the name!). I know some other folks have had hernias. Good for you for nipping it in the bud! As I say a lot, you have to trust your gut (sometimes literally).

Hey, join the club, I just had surgery and they also found my fallopian tube attached to my bowel. Fun times!
Glad you are feeling better though.

I'm starting to feel that "bowel" pain on a daily basis again to where I'm taking Aleve a few times a day but I think I'll just wait and see what happens.
Good to know there are other women out there that have had the same findings so I know it isn't something too unusual. Did you feel any pain before the surgery?

I think it was most adhesions that they found and not a lot of endo which means my Mirena is working!

Between my lap in Aug and my lap in Sept everything had gotten stuck back together, which is common and probably happened again (as my surgeon said it would). Things can get stuck together but still work fine, or they can get pulled around and cause pain. I think that's the hardest part of this, figuring out what is endo, what is not, and what's going to get better with more time. Good luck, gals!
