So I started the off-brand of Seasonale, Jolessa, about a month and two weeks ago today. I was doing awesome, my pain gradually decreased and it fairly kept at a dull roar. So not long ago I started taking an anti-depressant, and anti anxiety meds. The antidepressant was Welbutrin 100mg x2 daily, now it is Wellbutrin XL 300. I am also taking 25mgs of atarax twice a day as needed. Now what my question is, what are the chances that these to medications are messing with my Jolessa?
I ask this because I am not sure if I am pregnant and its hard to tell by taking a pregnancy test while on the Jolessa, from what I have heard anyway. Since I don't have a regular period, I can't just wait to see if I missed it or not, I wont be having mine for another month and a half. I was thinking since I need blood work for my Thyroid done, if I should ask if they can run blood test, or give me advice on what to do, to see if I am pregnant or not.
I'm pretty sure I'm not but some of the side effects of my medications are the same as the symptoms of early pregnancy, so I have been trying not to worry too much about it. The tiredness, fatigue, bloating, irritability, muscle, back and head aches and so on. Whats not a side effect if my meds is my libido being shot through the roof! I am also worried about my thyroid levels. I had blood work not even a month before I had it in the hospital showing normal thyroid levels, which would have put me three weeks into my Jolessa and twice having unprotected sex without withdrawal from my partner. I went into inpatient and they did blood work, my thyroid was about a 16, which wasn't too much higher than before but enough to cause my therapist alarm when we went over the inpatient paper work yesterday, (I have been out since March 6th and he discovered this thursday). He told me it was strange because the hormone that is normal low when the thyroid is high was also higher than normal. He didn't specify the name of the other hormone so I was confused. I have been reading that this change is sometimes seen in the first 2-6 weeks of pregnancy then goes away. I of course am going in for more blood work as I already said to make sure it wasn't the other hospitals error.
Just need a bit of input here on what to do, and what you all think.
I am also not worried about being pregnant either, it would actually be nice for me I think, and I know my partner is more than ready as well
