YIKES! I hope it resolves soon. I had those symptoms after my last surgery (non-endo related) and it turned out that it was my body freaking out over coming off the narcotic pain killers. Those things are no joke and I swear I don't ever want to have to touch those things ever again after the hell I went through when I stopped taking them. I don't know if that's your case but it's something to consider I guess. I hope it will resolve itself too so you can get some rest!

Hunh - considering how well the vicodin worked for making me sleep, I wouldn't doubt that it screwed up my sleep! I bought some homeopathic lavender balm on Amazon (love Amazon Prime's free two day shipping, heh) and have been using that with some moderate success. I'm still waking up a lot, and have had to do a few half days at work from fatigue/general ouchiness, but I'm getting there!
I have my post op appointment not this Monday but next (she wanted to give me a month to recover before going over everything) and I'm really looking forward to that!

Yeah it's funny because I wasn't even "abusing" them. I would take ONE pill at night to help me sleep the pain away and I built up some scary dependence on it and didn't even realize it until I stopped taking them. It's quite scary to think that a dependence can happen without you even knowing. I don't know if that's what happened to you but I remember being in a full sweat every night and highly anxious. Have you ever tried chamomile tea? I love that stuff. It makes me peaceful

I read some great reviews on the Yogi brand teas - they have a sleepy time kind that lots said was good. Melatonin also works I have heard.

Yeah, those narcotics can really mess you up. When I was at my worst, I bought a pain/relaxation CD and it had prompts to help you relax and fall asleep.
Taking an epsom salt bath prior to bed might help, too. The magnesium in the salts help you relax and some people swear by it to help them fall asleep. And it's inexpensive, too!
