Soooo, how did Xmas go for you all - fabulous? stressful? painful?
Just wondering how you all coped with such a major holiday which brings it owns stresses and difficulties plus potential pain and discomfort from our frenemy endo?
I had a wonderful time - lots of family, presents and fun. I ended up taking a LOT of ibuprofen to cope with the pain as I didn't want to take anything stronger because of the side effects, but it took the edge off and when I got home I just dealt with it then; although I was up for hours in the night with a hot water bottle, middle of the night TV, painkillers and an inquisitive kitten!!!

yum! kitten! I had a fine christmas. I ate a lot of junk and felt so-so. I took vicodin twice, not for endo pain, but because I fell down the icy front porch and landed on me bum.

My Christmas was decent. I took some naproxen half way through the day so the pain wouldn't turn me into a grumble gus. Had lunch and opened presents with the boyfriend and his Mom then went back to the boyfriends for some holiday sex. Was wonderful at the time, but now I'm hurting pretty bad. I had some quality time with my heating pad last night. I'm officially back on the endo diet now that the holiday is over.

poor holly! if you're like me you just need to put the past behind you right about now! it is a new year and a new start~ as many times as you need to get it right good luck. make a list of what you're cooking for yourself and go get your groceries! that always gets my week off to the right start. don't forget some snacks so you don't go off the diet too!

I'm starting anew with the diet starting today so I hear you. I've been on and off since Thanksgiving. All the holiday treats have made me feel like crap. I'm just starting slowly and going off gluten. If I do well for the next couple of weeks I'm going to treat myself to some small and reasonable. Good luck. We can do it!

I had what is now my usual pain but was happy busy and spoilt and just relaxed so even having woken up with rather random spasms in my lower back, I had a good day. Didn't eat anything that would set me off but had some vodka, just one double watching a comedy before bed with the sis, that was our naughty moment and happily didn't suffer any ill effects!

Not too bad. I have about 2 weeks until my period starts, so it's a "good time" right now. I still have my random pains and starting to get that "full" feeling in my lower abdomen, btu nothing that some ibuprofen can't handle sofar. What has been bad lately has been a surge of acne! Good grief! It's definately hormonal acne and very embarrassing. Went out for drinks with some friends with 4 "big ones" on my face (and a lot of concealer!!)

gemstone - I hear ya! Actually, my skin is *worse* than when I was a teenager. Once I turned 30, it felt like all h*ll broke loose with my skin. It's a constant struggle.

Christmas was a bummer for me. I started my period on the 23rd & the next day I'm pretty sure a cyst burst. I had some intense, unrelenting pain that slowly built up over the morning and by noon I was pretty much writhing. I had pain killers on board, Hydrocodone, but couldn't supplement with Ibuprofen because I was scheduled for a colonoscopy a few days later. The on-call doc said there wasn't anything stronger that I could take and just told me to double up on the hydrocodone. She was very unsympathetic. That just added to my tears and frustration. That evening, I took my microwavable rice pads to my sister's and sat with them on my tummy & just made the best of it. The next day, Christmas, I just went through the motions, I felt ill, was running a fever & my stomach was really bloated. (Same symptoms following a cyst that burst last summer- my 1st clue that I have severe endo.)Next year should be better if my treatment (b/c pills) starts to help. January was not too bad! This time, presently, not doing so great, but not horrible.
