Hey everyone, I was just thinking it might be time for me to start adding foods back into my diet to see what food is effecting me the most. Strangely enough within about 4 days of eliminating the gluten, dairy, eggs, red meat, soy and caffeine I was absolutely pain free. I found out I can occasionally have caffeine, but can never have dairy unless I want to go back to hurting. I was just wondering though what seems to effect people the most, eggs, red meat or gluten? I'm nervous about trying any of them out and think that if I tried adding gluten back it would be with oat flour instead of the typical wheat. Anybody have any tips?

Yay! Glad you were able to notice some quick results! I did, too. So interesting, isn't it??
As for what affects people the most, it's really hard to say. Everyone is different. But, if you'd like to add foods back in a bit, try them one at a time and a few days apart so you really have a sense of how they affect you. Good luck!

Wow...It is amazing the difference! I had a headache yesterday so I took excedrine, apparently I have to be extremely careful with caffeine. Within two hours I was in pain, which was fairly ironic. So I can have small amounts in chocolate, I wanted some hot chocolate the other day and so I made it with the real cocoa and almond milk. That didn't bother me even a little bit. I think in a couple days I'll try something different. I'll try egg whites before egg yolk though. Might make a difference. This is definitely interesting and I'm thinking about trying to figure out if there are other foods I don't do well with. That might explain my insomnia!

Caffeine ratchets up my pain too--within about 20 minutes.

Just going to add onto here, instead of making a new thread; hope it's ok
I haven't been on the diet as long as i would like before adding back, but i'm having a problem with milk alternatives. I currently been using rice milk, however it's upsetting my reflux (kind of counter productive if i'm fixing one illness only to have another get worst - interestingly i have no problem with rice), don't want to do oat, at least not yet, as i'm worried about the gluten in oats, and i haven't seen any in store anyway; and there's only one brand of almond milk and it's quite expensive. So i'm going to try goats milk and cheese (i miss my cheese), hopefully i'm fine with goat.

changed of plans: Been thinking about it and i don't think it's the rice but probably another ingredient so i brought a different brand (it has slightly different ingredients). And this time there was several varieties of almond milk so got some of that too. Still brought some goat cheese tho
