Posted by mommybell on Yesterday at 3:42pm Pelvic Congestion Syndrome? I'm scheduled to go for a lap on Jan 26th. However, I've been doing some reading and I'm beginning to wonder if the pain I've been experiencing could be due to pelvic congestion syndrome. I do fit some of the risk factors - I've been pregnant 3 times and I do have vericose veins in my legs. My symptoms for the last nearly 2 years have included: lower back pain, extreme bloating, soreness in pelvic area just above pubic bone, pain during ovulation, nausea, fatigue, very frequent urination at times (so bad that it wakes me up in the night) etc. etc. Does anyone have pelvic congestion and if so, what were your symptoms? thanks!

Dear "MommyBell"
I AM SO SORRY!! I accidentally hit some button and deleted your original thread. Thanks to Karen, she was able to find the original post but I couldn't move it from the archive so I just copied and posted it here. I FEEL BAD! I"M SORRY!!!
I was fiddling around with it because pelvic congestion syndrome has been mentioned a few times in passing but nobody has officially started a thread on it. I was hoping to find some of the old posts but accidentally deleted yours because I'm a total goof!
Sorry about that!

Hey, that's okay! No worries ;D I would love to read other posts on Pelvic Congestion because the symptoms are very very similar to endo and I'm wondering if that could be the cause of all my pain. I guess I'll find out in January! Thanks for re-posting my thred

Mommybell, I posted on the other thread you started about our experience with PCS (or what we believe is PCS). If you have had constant pain for more than 6 months, your doctor should be looking at PCS.

I have some awesome information for a minimally invasive procedure for pelvic congestion syndrome! It is done by an interventional radiologist and it seems to be pretty promising to help relieve chronic pelvic pain. Interventional radiology is a rapidly growing field of medicine and it's really putting out some awesome treatments for various disorders. Check it out! www.sirweb.org/patients/chronic-pelvic-pain/ "If you have pelvic pain that worsens throughout the day when standing, you may want to seek a second opinion with an interventional radiologist, who can work with your gynecologist. You can ask for a referral from your doctor, call the radiology department of any hospital and ask for interventional radiology or visit the doctor finder link at the top of this page to locate a doctor near you.
