Hi there everybody I am new here. Been on tons of forums before but only now found one that actually fits my own diagnosis: endo. My question for you dieters is: are we allowed to eat raisins on the endo-diet? I love raisins and I know that they are probably rich in calories which I need to not loose to much weight when dieting. Anni

Raisins are fine, however, make sure they are organic. Non-organic raisins (and grapes) are loaded with sulfates.

Raisins can upset my digestion sometimes, probably for the same reason that grapes are thought to be good for regular bms but I eat dried cranberries instead. I love them!

I eat golden raisins. They are amazing for anti-inflammatory properties. We have a thread on gin-soaked raisins somewhere but I can't find it for some reason.

YAY! I was hoping you'd come in and rescue me. HAHA. I am losing my mind and couldn't find the thread! I like raisins when I'm having a sweet tooth attack and need something sweet and sugary. I usually run straight for ice cream or M&M's but if I can force myself to eat the golden raisins instead then it will usually curb the craving. Raisins are so much healthier than ice cream and M&M's.
Damn it now I want M&M's. LOL

Thank you everybody. I know that raisins are sweet but it is a naturally sweet so I guess the question was rather if it was okay to eat natural sugar (like in raisins) because for me it is certainly not so good to eat real sugar. Any further insights would be appreciated Anni

As far as sugar goes, it really depends on how your body responds to it. You can test sugar using an allergy/food intolerance elimination diet. There's already a thread on how to do that, so I won't explain the ins and outs here.
Some people have problems with processed sugar, but "raw" natural sugars are okay.
